I think ~polydora has the right idea...I think it would look very cool if you greyscaled the guy and tweaked the contrast/brightness...The border is very awesome tho

Wow! I'm really impressed. I think the border would look great if only you maybe photoshopped the focal point (the dude). He doesn't seem to fit the style, except for the black hair. And also the expression on his face is too boyish and scared, when the border is very "hardcore" and gothic.

what exactly do you mean with photoshop the focal point? i'm very new to this whole stuff. and how to do this. it was quite the intention to contrast the white of the bg with the border, to do something bright, that in fact is very darkΒ΄. that'S why the scared look...

I mean you could've used an art program like Adobe Photoshop to edit the guy. How'd you make the border? I assumed you did it with an art program. And no problem.

yeah i actually did it in photoshop. but do you have in mind for "that guy" (it's me actually)

I'm not sure. You could try giving it some more texture and/or detail. Did you do it in Adobe Photoshop Elements?

CS2. but i can't handle it yet. I'm only playing around a bit. it is really a depressing feeling, having ideas and you can't realize it.

Try searching tutorials for your program on the web. That'll give you ideas and definitley will help. I know what you mean.
