Description I've posted this on facebook and I've decided that I should probably post it here too.

Using photo references is an excellent practise, because let's face it, if you want to learn how it's done you need to observe first, but sometimes it's also good to draw from memory or your mental creativity. We can increase our artistic independence by forcing ourselves to understand how the body works instead of just following what we see in pictures. There are some people who cannot draw without photo references, because their independent side hasn't been developed enough. Likewise, there are some people who refuse to use references or don't understand how beneficial they can be when drawing. Both situations are undesirable. Artists need to find that happy medium that allows them to improve while retaining their creativity. Referring to real life in pictures and then seeing how well you can create for yourself is enjoying the best of both worlds.

I found a pile of random pose sketches like this from a year ago and I should really start doing it again because it's helped me understand the human body a lot.

I'm not using these so feel free to do whatever you like with them Hit download for a higher resolution. Just be careful in using them cause as you know these were done a year ago and of course a few little inconsistencies lie in the anatomy. Fix to your heart's desire!

These poses are wonderful and can be very useful, but please, don't post your artwork on Facebook.
It isn't that I hate Facebook, I have a Facebook account as well, but that if you upload a picture to Facebook it belongs to them now.
There have been several cases with famous artists uploading a picture to Facebook and, basically, having Facebook steal their art piece for a advertisement, or other things.
Basically once you first join they have a read-me that says that any picture you upload is theirs, even if it's art for a video game or anything, it is now theirs.

Now, I 'm not forcing you to do anything, but I just don't want any other artists to have their art stolen, even if the piece of artwork in mention is simply a pose dump.

Oh, by the way, just fyi, the rumour that says 'facebook can steal your work if you post it there' is a common misconception.

[link] Just so you'd have the full idea when informing others Thank you for your sweet words, too!

Ah, I see. I am truly very sorry, I feel quite embarrassed by this.
I simply didn't want for another artist's work to get stolen, but I guess in truth that won't really happen (Unless it's a advertisement strictly on Facebook)

yep! But don't feel embarrassed! You were trying to help and you show genuine concern for your fellow artists, that's something you should feel proud about because folks like you are few and far in between

I'm not famous and this little pose reference won't do me a thing if it's stolen xD I share it with fellow artists on facebook who could make use of it Fb doesn't own my art, it owns the right to link to it *nods*

Well, if you say so. But it is a warning in the future, that once you make one of your amazing fully-drawn artworks, to not upload it to Facebook.

And, unless you specifically saw and did something about that, Facebook does own your artwork now. The person who made Hyperbole got in a lot of trouble by doing so.
