The person who commissioned me had a really cool back story for the characters she's commissioning me to draw.(Yes, I'm aware the geometry/perspective is awkward... I'll get better at that lol.)

Geometry because of the geometric shapes. The cabinets I mean. 
Any idea where I can find 3d models of shapes that I can rotate and stuff? That could help me a bit I think.
