nov.17 2012: *60 points to download full size! PLEASE DO NOT REPOST THE FULL SIZEΒ* Please feel free to take from this tutorial a new technique: colouring with the fringe setting. I am okay if you draw the same style for practice, but please do not Β copy this style exactly (for commissions, especially). It's a bit off-putting to have my hard work taken advantage of. Tutorials are meant to teach you new tricks that you can incorporate into your work.
And later on, I hope you will pass on your tricks to other artists! 
* I used SAI and Opencanvas for the effects at the last step. Photoshop to save with transparency cause my SAI doesn't allow that. ^__^

Well, points are dA's "digital currency", which means you either have to buy them (with real money XD) or sell something on dA yourself for how many points you want. Also, you may start a donation poll (is that how it's called??) on your dA page and other artists can donate points to youΒ

Ah just a note though, please feel free to take from the tutorial the new colouring technique but please try not to draw 'sparkly chibies' exactly as I do~~ ;; u ;; ))
I worked a long time to develop that chibi style and I feel a bit cheated if someone just copies it exactly * u *;;;

Uhm I was just wondering, where do you find the effects to add the fringe or whatever u call it xD I looked in advanced settings too o;

In SAI you can set the fringe effect in the area above the layers box. β₯ it'll be a drop down menu where you can pick fringe and then you can adjust two sliding bars for the thickness and darkness of the edge effect : )
