Gyrados [Flying]: My first go at drawing one of these. I wanted to go for a more pure serpentine-carp look and threw out the body segments from the original.

Granbull [Normal]: This little guy was fun. Fact: This is not how they were suppose to look like. The modern Granbull, with its bowlegged gait and heavyset body is a product of human intervention to make the dog seem more aesthetically pleasing. This makes it unsuited to the working dogs title such as Houndoom, Arcanine and Mightyena, and more popular with Contest circles.
The same intervention makes it one of the most docile and sweet-natured of all dog pokemon. They rarely come with any temperament problems though inbreeding in contest circles has given rise to some health complications.

Ariados [Poison]: Fun Facts--Spiders are a protective figure in Islamic Folklore and respected for their efforts in protecting Prophet Muhammad PBUH when he was being hunted down by assailants.

Excadrill [Ground: No notes. I owned one in Black 2. This is my tribute to my lovely Hildegarde ouob

Frolass [Ghost]: This was a leap from the imagination. I wanted to go with a more western influence on the design which was originally based on a ghost woman of the mountains. This Frolass is based off a Wendigo, the cannibalistic winter demon with the skull of a stag.
Note the horns, which are a source of power. Most trained Frolasses have their horns cropped to keep them under control.
