Getting this double whammy off my PSD tray so I can dive into the action.Desdemona and Hale had it pretty rough at the start. They definitely weren't naturals at battling, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
So yeah. Here's two Chekov's Guns for you; Dee's Shell Bell (a gift from Hale in commemoration of her first match despite a horrible and humiliating loss) and Soda's Light Ball.
I have no idea who the asshole from the flashback is, but I've got some General Ripper-type guy at the back of my mind. A dickface and somewhat misogynistic, but he means well. He's likely tied to Hale's mother's old contingent.
Also, crowd shot is crowdy.
From left to right; Vron, Avenir, Ancien, Knox, D.J, Selena, Raoul, Amir, Kes, Lilac, Dani, T.C and Quincy.
The Medic Mafia are back (Cosette the Chansey, Ron, Hadijah and Finn).
New referee is a little too enthusiastic for his own good.

Everything that comes out of his mouth makes you want to punch his gonads, but the guy really drilled it into her that training isn't a walk in the park.
Post-Helios, I think he and Hale probably become seriously vitriolic comrades.

It's his way of seeing if she had what it took to become something based on her own merit and not because:
I. Her dad was an ex-Mob boss
II, Her mom was on the police force.
II. Her brother is serving as a captain in the military.
and I have stuck with the name 'James Falkner' (He will carve your scrotum up with a Rambo Knife if you suggest that he's somehow related to that blue-haired pansy-ass from Violet City). He used to be on the same platoon Surge trained in and they were probably friends, thus accounting for his bias towards unevolved Pokemon forms.
To him, Hale is just 'girl' and to Hale, he's 'you old fuck'.
Deedee's special 'hello' to him is attempting to scratch his eyes out everytime they meet, though given the circumstances, he probably deserved some of that

~ Predisposed to good. And not because he's bad either. He's just...Knox.
~ Epic in any manner. He's a realistically grumpy, dangerous military guy who's got no use for pomp and just wants to fuck up his opponents the best and fastest way he can.
I need to cameo him more in my future works.

Ahahahaha that's probably my Wrestling mark side showing. It ain't an event if it ain't taking cues from Wrestlemania pomp. Giant crowds with banners, cameras, lighting, ringside personel and EMTs, referees (And I do need to draw those announcers from R2 again one of these days) And maybe throw in some generic ads later.

Nice idea for having Light Ball hanging on Soda's neck there, I never think hard of how to equip the items to my Pokemons.

Hahaha yeah, he's sort of more confident at the start of the match, but Dee will shake him up in a bit by nullifying part of Soda's moveset which reduces him to only using physical offense.
She won't take away his Light Ball though--it'll actually stay on and almost cost her the match.

I see... since Soda basically only has 2 kind of attacks, leaving him only able of using Focus Punch (which is very hard to hit the target) would definitely ensure Dee's winning! XD
