Description
I was inspired after looking at a few deviations to draw something from Alice in Wonderland. I used to draw Alice all the time. Here, I played with some coloring styles with firm lines but simple shading with a brush in Corel Painter X. The glow was after a fun experiment with the board I posted with glowing glass jars.
I also had my friend Kim in mind when I made this. Hope this inspires you Kim!

In Corel Painter X I used a solid Acryillic brush at 30% opacity to make the circle in blue, pink, or gold colors, then a glow around it of the same color. Then I used Luminosity blending mode on the layers menu. I was just experimenting a bit and it came out like that. lol

thanks! I'm thinking about trying to pick up Corel. I've been hesitant to because I'm so familiar with PS, but I like the effects you can get with Corel.

Yeah. There's a lot more brushes you can play with. You can read the manual but I prefer to just explore. I'm kinda like Marnie in the sense that I came from a painting sort of background so I like the brushes that blend. Definitely bug her for some tips! She's the master of Painter!
