Description
1000th DEVATION!Fairytale Forest:
Made special for those who requested.
Only three of the ones I have made total, but I can't share all my secrets with you, you know how it is
Anyway, this is the TUTORIAL for the .XMP pack that can be downloaded here: [link]
Everything you need to know is in this document.
In the pack, after you download it, you will find the exact 3 files and also a PSD file of this exact tutorial
I hope this helps some of you guys when editing.
I know curves seemed like a ton of fun before when I made the packs and tutorials, but this my friends is much MUCH more usefull & effective tool to use when editing!
If you shoot in RAW and would like more out of your proccessing please see this tutorial on how to use my set .xmp files.
Later, I will try to make a new tutorial on HOW TO MAKE THE RAW FILES THEMSELVES!!!
But, about that later
Please enjoy my dears
HAPPY HOLIDAYS & MERRY CHRISTMASS!
LOVE,

For Windows 7 it's:
C:\users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Camera Raw\Settings
The 'AppData' folder is likely hidden by default so you'll need to unhide it. In windows explorer go: Tools > folder options. select the 'view tab' and choose 'show hidden files, folders & drives'.
If you can't see the 'Tools' menu. Press Alt+T on your keyboard.
I'm wondering if this will work in Lightroom, i'm gonna have a look.
Thanks Dasha!

Great low level tutorial for those who doesn't know how to use XMP files!
Only one thing to add: NEF files are only for Nikon Camera's. Each camera brand has it own extension for to categorize a file as RAW file. Canon e.g. call extend their RAW files with CR2.
Adobe tries to create a standard for ALL raw files and has called it DNG.
So RAW files are not exclusively extended by *.NEF. But also *.CR2, *.DNG and some others for brands like Sony, Olympus etc etc etc...

Oh and on a Mac,
You go to Library > Application Support > Adobe > Camera Raw > Settings > and you place the files in there.
Its a bit tricky for the Mac users so I thought Id let you know too.
Love ya work !

Heya hun.
Epic tutorial, Its always good to see how people do their work. Weird that its almost always different.
P.S. NEF is when your shooting on a Nikon DSLR, if your shooting on a Canon DSLR it will be called CR2.
I can forseee waves of people asking you about it.
Hope to see more soon.

Only if you have a very cool digital compact camera that supports raws. Such as the Canon G-series
(to be short on your question: Most digital compact camera's don't support RAW. They shoot JPG only).
