I've been watching these people recently. They're usually pretty good, they have a giant backlog to watch, and I don't find Ross /that/ bad. -w-

It's just a role thing, I guess. Ross is the butt monkey/lovable goof among the team.
They are indeed pretty good, but their humor is sometimes hit or miss kinda thing.

That's true. That's why I put the "usually" in...sometimes I find myself just not watching a whole playthrough because it starts dumb and usually continues to be dumb. I can't stand endless amounts of fart jokes or the like, and I don't like super exaggerated enthusiasm very much. So I have to pick and choose, kinda. Egoraptor's been indulging in more and more of that recently, but it's not every episode. And at least they upload quite a few episodes every day. They're hit and miss, but just not watching the misses makes me enjoy GG more. c:

I can't agree more with you.
Egoraptor said one of his dreams is to become a white rapper in a podcast. So, heh, I guess that explains why is his recent performance being "street" and exaggerated.
I think the recent SotC series is pretty awesome, I love Danny's genuine and emotional reactions.

I stopped watching SotC around #18 because I didn't want such a beautiful game spoiled for me by the Grumps, but to be honest, it will probably take many years for me to get the game myself. And it has reached the finale. If it's really good, I guess I'll watch it right now. c:
Parodius seems pretty promising, Go Go Nippon is pleasant to listen to, and some episodes of FireRed are pretty funny. So yeah. They're definitely not dead yet, despite what some lovelies will tell you. ^.^

I think Parodius is promising as well. Games like that with so much weird stuffs is the best source for observational humor.
I haven't get my hands on Go Go Nippon yet, I myself is not a big fan of Visual Novel, and second, China shares ACG culture with Japan to some extent, so as a Chinese, it's kinda hard to watch them misunderstand a lot of cultural stuffs, but I guess that's just me.
Pokemon the game itself is not very good material for LP IMO... but as you say, some episodes are indeed pretty funny. Definitely expecting some more!Β
I still desire Cave Story's return though... you can't praise so much about the game and then abandon it! ;w;

Well, Arin has actually gone to Japan once, so Go Go Nippon isn't too terrible with that. They spend a lot of the episodes either pointing out the silliness in the plot or legitimately discussing Japan and stuff. They do add "-ru" to everything for fun and occasionally say something wildly inaccurate, but it's obvious they're jokes and they don't actually believe the crap they say. :b
I can see why you wouldn't want to watch it, though!
Their Cave Story LP is actually what got me to watch them, it was discussed in the forums. I saw a few episodes of Sonic '06 before, but Cave Story is what actually led me to watch regularly. It's a great game and they seemed to enjoy it, I hope they return to it sometime! :3

They might have been through some failing out, that's my first impression when watchingΒ the "Ode to Jon" video.

I didn't get the impression that he was any less friendly to Arin from that post, though I guess it depends on how you read it.
It would be hilarious if eventually Arin decided to leave Game Grumps to work on his animations and such, leaving the channel completely to Danny and Ross. (though I doubt that would ever happen) XD
