Great shot, like seeing a scene like this from you, with more action.
I think it looks great, but for the sake of improvement, I'll tell you what I see and hope it helps.
1. Its got an more action feel to it, and its clearly in the middle of an 'action', but it looks to some extent posed. I don't know what tricks you would use to help it seem more 'in motion' as a photographer, but that would improve the shot I think.
2. The look of the costume looks great, except for the shirt. Its still good, but when I look at this piece, it kind of stands out to me. The gloves and the mask and the metallic looking straps around the torso point more towards a 'geared up' fighter, so maybe some kind of protective vest or combat rig. But I can also see where you might not want to go that 'military' with the look. In which case maybe a more skin tight top? I'm not sure.
Just the t-shirt seems, too casual, doesnt' seem like it fits with the rest of the outfit.
Just my observations, I have no skill at photography and you know I love your work.

I appreciate the constructive feedback. As with all my deviations, there's room for improvement. For an action effect, I could try some motion blur techniques, but that might've detracted from the photo. As for the shirt (& attire), I would truly need tattered clothing, not just for the shirt, as well as fake blood & maybe an outdoor setting.

Since you never show your face (as far as i've seen), I went by your skin and eye colors. As well as how your hair is just "ink" black...the curls made me doubt myself though. For what I've seen most Native Americans have straight hair. lol

The curls are mostly due to the tight braid I keep my hair in during the day. For most photos, I never brush it straight.

European mostly, but I have 2 full-blooded Native American relatives, to the extent my grandfather using our clan colors in jewelry. I have a Choctaw nose, but other than that I'm sour cream and freckles :/ Did you see my ID or did you guess?

Oh, don't get me wrong long hair is very appealing to me, on both genders, assuming they don't have the wrong structure for it. Just not...on me. Been there, done that, had hair down to my knees once, had hair to my shoulders once, sweet bliss once it was gone. Plus i've got a rounder face and a long neck, short suits me better. lol
