Wow...reminds me of a backstory I have in mind for my fan game that doubles as a shout-out to military bronies: Phillydelphia was being approached by a huge dragon that wanted to dig it up and get to some gem deposits it thought would be under the city. The Equestrian guard wouldn't arrive in time to stop it before it tore a neighborhood and school to shreds with ponies inside them, and only one earth pony stood between the dragon and the city. He used his unbelievable earth pony strength to grab the dragon by the tail and thrash him around, but it was only a matter of time before the dragon was able to breathe fire on him and make him pay for his defiance. He lost his eyesight and all four of his hooves, but he'd bought enough time for reinforcements to arrive and stop the dragon.
The sight of an earth pony fighting this dragon was what make me think of this; it's a really good sketch. And I know better than to underestimate earth pony strength after seeing Big Mack drag a house without breaking a sweat!

I love the concept of an earth pony who has many strengths.
Unicorns and Pegasi have an advantage in this scenario, but that is why I have an OC like this, its to show that even an earth pony can be incredibly powerful without flight or magic.

I see that! It really makes the image 'pop' a lot more. Though oddly, switches my thought process from my initial thought that it was a lightning drake to a miasma or poison spitter now. Hm...
