That is stunning, breathtaking really. I've only recently become familiar with how popular this concept is, but I can safely say this is my favorite Nightmare Celestia/Solar Flare work I've found.
The colors pop in such a dangerously warm way, and the glittering effect is gorgeous. I'm in love with her wings.

Amazing and beautiful artwork! I love the limited color palate and the textures are great.
I think it would suit Celestia more if she made it to where the sun never went down and things got so hot it caused a drought.

I'm on the same page as you honestly. I intended to capture the moment in which she turns into her dark form. Seeing how the evil is attached to the moon and night somehow it seemed to make sense. I can imagine though that her wrath in particular would include alot of heat.
