I was just looking at this again. How you made Severus so ugly and yet so beautiful in his moment of paternal happiness is beyond me. But I keep looking at that baby's head, and his little arm! He looks so small! OpalJadde, you got it right, and this is just so evocative. I love it.

It is lovely to see, how tender Severus's usually tough expression becomes when he is looking at this child. This picture emphasizes the fatherly feelings in such a simple and beautiful way. I believe fatherhood (and motherhood) change people in wonderful ways. Too bad poor Snape didn't have the chance in his real life.
