My Contest Critique:
(Note: I sponsored the contest, but am not a voter on who wins)
(Thanks for entering, by the way)
This was a tricky concept to portray. The woman's hands gripping the frame in the far-right picture was what made it most clear to me that something... odd... was taking place here. Referencing Escher was appropriate since a lot of his pieces indicated gradual changes taking place, such as the woman being drawn (no pun intended, but there is no other appropriate word for it) into the painting. Keeping the progression is light pencil(?) in the background was appropriate since I'm not sure where things would have gone and this does a good job implying continuation.
I hope you're able to rotate and repost this; it suffers greatly from being in the wrong orientation.
Thank you for entering my contest, even if it has a bit more penis than I was looking for. I like that you include the progression of details in your gallery; I like seeing how artworks come to be.

yeah, i was surprised the guys ended up with more screen time than expected . it will be something to revisit later. probably many times in the future.
and quite honestly, when i saw how great the other entries looked, figured i'd go the thinking guy's route since the other entries looked so great.
am debating if the guy on the left is the only person 'outside' the picture or not....
it also suffers from less planning than anything like that desires but is really more of a proof of concept...but i like the sloppiness some too... becuase maybe it's actually happened in a class somewhere.... and more people left the class than entered.
thanks for the great comments!

the new escher brand easels meant every class filled quickly,
once the drawing began.
which was fine, but, made it difficult not to get lost in your art.
