good to know.  thanks so much . although i did not record the scanner settings i used, so will continue struggling with how best to scan in the pictures.

a while ago i thought i had it figured out, but then viewed deviant art from a different computer system and almost nothing looked the same as on the original computer monitor so i should look into if there is a way to 'calibrate'  my computer screen or something.  

and since i'm not sure what i'll be using these for in the future, so i continue scanning multiple ways just in case a few look good.  Although most of the original pics look slightly better than these digitized ones.  

this drawing is a very rough sketch, but i've promised myself NOT to linger too long on any picture that i could probably redo in the future better....LOL

so most of these from last year are horrible crude, but i wanna get to enjoying drawing and loosen up.  too  many of mine are  stilted or rigid or look like a 5th graders notebook scribble, lol.  we'll see if that leads anywhere. 

when i started a few years back, i told everyone i didn't draw, i erased.  because i would spend weeks on something and erased things many many times...LOL  

so even though my skill hasn't increased as fast as i'd like, i don't have to buy as many erasers as i did!  LOL
