There's such a bold contrast in environment. Indeed humans have not made their mark on the mighty mountains. The image is rather realistic and seems to ahve the effect of wet guache. The composition is, although tame, rather calming and the horse provides a nice detail to an already beautiful image.

The top part and the lower part are like two separate beautiful paintings that don't quite fit together. Perhaps the area between needs a little work. The perspective on the lower part is so well defined and this part is beautifully detailed; similarly, the rocky mountain/canyon is beautifully worked, but I think it needs something in between to marry the two parts more convincingly. Breathtaking work, nevertheless.
