Description
and here is the next installment of maikaiju...enjoy#2-SPINNJAGER
Length - 100 m*
Weight - 25,000 metric tons
History - The tale of Spinnjäger (Jäger for short) begins far across the universe. A powerful, violent, and militaristic alien race decided to create a gigantic monster, a living bio-weapon for the sole purpose of destruction. And so their project began, with the abduction of a small population of creatures from one of the many planets under their control. These creatures were subjected to numerous experiments, and each success building upon the last. By the time they had come to the creature that would become Jäger, they had perfected their techniques. Undergoing numerous procedures, Jäger was transformed into a gigantic, genetically and technologically enhanced creature, and was sent into space (the race that created Jäger was so powerful that they had no need for him as a military weapon, and simply wanted to cause chaos in regions they had never traveled to).
Traveling through the void of space, Jäger discovered many civilizations, and destroyed most of them easily. This soon became tedious, however, and Jäger got bored with his powers. He quickly began to pass many planets by, as he began searching the universe, desperate for a good fight, a foe worthy of his strength.
Eventually, Jäger came across a small, blue planet orbiting a medium-sized, yellow sun. He was overjoyed to find the planet inhabited with multiple creatures as large as himself. And so, for now at least, he has made his home on Earth.
Powers/Aspects/Abilities
-Unpredictability. Jäger will attack other kaiju for no reason other than to fight, making him evil in some people's eyes. However, springing from his gratitude at finding worthy opponents, Jäger has developed a code of honor, and will never kill those who put up a good enough fight.
-Technological/genetic manipulation. One thing built into Jäger was an integrated artificial-organic brain. The organic half of Jäger's brain allowed him to complete his basic functions (movement, senses, etc.), while the artificial half of the brain gave him human-like intelligence, allowing for complex thoughts and emotions. Also, Jäger was given extremely mutative DNA, allowing his body to change into several different "configurations", and granting him mild regenerative powers. Along with this, some of his bones (mainly along the spine) were laced with electronics to help control the body's transformations.
-----Configuration One - This is Jäger's primary form, used for locomotion on land. In this form, he resembles a snake with spider-like legs.
-----Configuration Two - In this form, Jäger is capable of flight. Thick membranes of skin form between Jäger's legs, and his back spikes are lowered to decrease wind resistance.
-----Configuration Three - Used for melee combat, Jäger's body develops a more upright position. The back two pairs of legs are used for movement only, while the front two morph together and form large, clawed hands.
-Plasma club. Grafted to Jäger's tail is a sphere of self-contained plasma. The walls of the sphere are made to allow heat transfer, so when it makes contact with other creatures or objects, it delivers an intense burn, hot enough to melt weaker substances.
-Enhanced Helmet. Jäger's helmet is perhaps the most important alien addition, controlling nearly all of his body. Besides simply protecting the skull, the helmet connects with Jäger's brain, creating a usable interface. The helmet is also connected with Jäger's bone enhancements, which allow him to change his body at will. The helmet also allows Jäger to survive in deep space (so he can travel between planets) and generate an intense laser out of either eye socket (for purely offensive capabilities). It is also interesting to note that the crest sticking from the back of the helmet serves no immediate purpose, and is thought simply to have been added for recognition of the aliens that created Jäger**
Weaknesses
-Jäger's helmet is connected with nearly all of his abilities, thus making him powerless without it (or does it...?)
-Changes between configurations are not instantaneous, and Jäger is left vulnerable for the few moments it takes to transform.
-Sacrifices strength for speed. A rapid succession of powerful attacks could make quick work of Jäger.
#2.5-TOLLJAGER
Length - 100 m*
Weight - 27,000 metric tons
History - After a fight with an EXTREMELY powerful kaiju (who will, for now, remain anonymous), Spinnjäger is defeated, battered mercilously and left for dead. His body was completely ravaged, including the removal of his helmet (which, sense the helmet was surgically attached to his face, would have been VERY painful). With Jäger's helmet removed, a number of things went wrong. With nothing controlling his regenerative and mutative cells, they go berserk, transforming Jäger into an unrecognizable beast (without the helmet, this is a transformation he can neither stop nor control, and is a point of no return). This new creature is but a shadow of the former Jäger, and once again becomes hell-bent on destruction.
Powers/Aspects/Abilities
-With the loss of his helmet, Tolljäger is a different beast entirely, reduced to the mind of a wild animal, blind with rage from the pain he has endured.
-Through this new mutation, Tolljäger has gained razor-tipped tentacles (which can themselves grow in length), and claw-studded scythe arms, both deadly in combat.
-The plasma club on Jäger's tail was also destroyed in the fight, creating an even more dangerous weapon. Now that the plasma is not contained, it can violently spike out to anything nearby, including Tolljäger himself. In addition, the plasma has begun to corrupt his body, somehow traveling through his tail and into his veins, poisoning him from within.
*To give a sense of proportion, the 100 m is from head to tail, and though I drew the forms in different sizes, the body (again, from head to tail) remains the same size throughout.
**hint hint HINT for those of you familiar with my work
PHEW that took awhile...I wrote WAY too goddamned much. But hey, I wrote what I needed to.
That being said, I am SO pleased with how this turned out. I came up with the original idea (configuration 2) over a year ago, and when I decided to use the design for a kaiju, I came up with configuration one. So where do the other two come from? I have to thank for that. When I saw that he was having a kaiju contest (which this is my entry for), I wanted to make him more unique, and so I came up with the 3rd configuration as well as Tolljäger. Tolljäger, by the way, was really inspired by Resident Evil 4 (really just in concept...how a lot of the bosses mutate into unrecognizable monsters), and an episode of Dexter's Lab where he and his sister transform into giant monsters (because one of the monsters ends up having really really huge spider legs...at least, I think). The other thanks for GodzillaSamurai is for motivation. Had it not been for the contest, my lazy ass probably wouldn't have gotten around to drawing any kaiju for a while.
And as for the name, I chose German this time around (spinne=spider; jäger=warrior, toll=crazy).

The design is great, but the description really makes this monster for me. I love noble assasin characters.
And yeah, Dee Dee gained spider legs in her last mutation in that episode.

A very unique alien war machine. I like the three stages he has as well as the last 'berserk' stage he developes without his helmet. His name is rather catchy as well .
