Description
A Phantom set in Ancient Rome.Yeah...so at work I'm doing research for our Roman Reperatory shows coming up, and so my sketchbook life really reflects that.
As I imagine it, his armor is a combination of metal and leather with wolves and lyres adorning it. The wolves represent his singular, loner nature and certainly tie in with the mythology of the Romans. The lyres' representative value is obvious, and links ( or leashes) the wolf heads.
His helm would not encompass the metal mask as well, so that it could be removed independently.

Hey! I've been wondering if you would do another one of these! I enjoyed your German Phantom so much and I love this, too. Your color usage and his pose are so wonderful... It's a joy to look at. +fave

That is really lovely work and a very neat idea! Not the old run-of-the-mill POTO art.

Thanks! Given the good reception of this as well as my WWII Phantom, I think that a series will be forthcoming.

Kick... ASS! This is a really awesome take on Phantom ... reminds me of Legends of the Dark Knight or those Alternate Universe Spawn figures/comics. *instafav!*

Usually I use a combination of Prismacolor markers, Uniball pens and watercolor.
Thanks!
