To many, this is a photograph. They see the image, the light and the dark; the subtle work of colors and greys. To me, this is a catalyst of wonder. It is a scene which will never again be repeated. The serendipity of the right person with the right tools to capture a special subject at just the right moment in time.
To realize the millions of hours of labor and dreams having so many distinctions in history and this moment being the last scene before the curtain drops on an era of great accomplishment; this is certainly an important picture in the canvas of this generation.
A most delightful vision...the Grand Queen of the Sky and the Scion of Space.

This could almost be titled " Ride into the Sunset" couldn't it? I realize this was probably early morning in reality, but it is the Sunset of the program and this image seems to say that just grandly and so beautifully. I very much envy you and admire you for your getting to see these vehicles for real. But thank you so much for sharing them here. Your work and art is just fantastic!
