I did some lighting effects on Christopher Eccleston, and now he matches the other pics a bit better than before.

John Hurt is the War Doctor. War doesn't mean "Ninth" in English. So stop calling Eccleston the Tenth, Tennant the 11th and Smith the 12th!

Technically "The War Doctor" is an incarnation but not numbered, so 9-11 are still 9-11. That's the explanation Steven Moffat has offered.

No that was what they said. I also think the potion explains why the Regenerations are getting increasingly violent. If you compare 8-War Doctor and 9-10 there's A LOT of energy being released, and then when we get to 10-11 OMG. Crippled the TARDIS. I can't wait to see 11-12.

I think the reason why the regeneration from 9-10 and 10-11 was due to The Doctor absorbing the entire time vortex and then 500,000 rads of radiation to save Wilf, then holding it in for an unspecified but probably considerable amount of time as he made his farewells. Basically, its like pressure building up in a boiler. Once that goes, the results are

7-8 was just some electrical crackles, and 8 to the war doctor seemed to be juyst a suddenly flash of reg-energy before he changed.

Right then compared to 9-10 and 10-11 the energy released has grown more violent. That can't just be the causes of their regenerations, because 5-6 should have been more violent the way he died. So I think 11-12 is going to be insane.

If 10-11 demolished the TARDIS console room the way it did, and 11-12 is going to be more violent, the TARDIS would probably end up completely ravaged.
