-Wings-

The wings of an angel,
beautiful, soft, delicate,
Surround me, they protect me,
from demons of fear and hate

Two of them there are,
for every demon down below.
They stand beside me,
waiting for the first blow.

They draw their swords,
the blades shining white,
ready to clash against black,
caring for the blight

The battle is won,
spear piercing side.
Hell screams with fury,
at He who died

Their voices are beauty incarnate,
praising that which they love above all.
They look towards heaven, gazing,
at their creator of all.

Most are blind to them,
not knowing they're even there.
Others may come to see them.
Yet all they can do is stare.

But I look to them,
smiling with pride,
at those two angels,
forever by my side.
