(apparently, I combined what I remembered of this AND several other versions that I've seen.)

I've not used water colours in a while~
such a fun media ^^

My sister was watching Barbie in the Nutcracker, when I remembered long ago, in a galaxy far far away, that my music teacher had us watch an old cartoon (I think it was Russian) of the original tale of the Nutcracker.
I LOVED it.

The story was about a servant girl who worked in a house for a rich family. The rich children were all, "OMG CHRISTMAS. PRESENTS. MINE." there were several kids and one of them was a chubby little boy who got there last to get the last toy off of the tree, which was a Nutcracker.
Of course, the boy being spoilt, was all, "WTF IS THIS SH*T?" and threw the Nutcracker on the ground, thus, breaking the Nutcracker's arm. As the rich children played with their new toys and were rushing off or just not paying attention, the little servant girl saw the abandoned Nutcracker. I think she witnessed the whole thing, cuz she picked up the nutcracker, felt sorry for him, fixed his arm, and then she cradled him and kept him. (b'dawww)
then of course the spolied little boy was all, "MAAAAM!! SHE GOTS ME TOY!" and then the master beat her for stealing.
She went to bed with no food that night and she was freezing in her quarters.
She dreamed about sweet things and was awoken by none other then stirrings up stairs. Since she was in charge of these kinds of things, she went up to Scooby Doo investigate!
Low and behold, THE TOYS COME ALIVE. and I'm pretty sure the rest of you know the story.
Mice are causin' a bunch of ruckus, Nutcracker's all, "Y U DO, NEPHEW?", girl's all, "WUT IS GOIN' ON?" She gets kidnapped by the Mouse King, Nutcracker saves her, shows her his kingdom and its wonders, Mouse King's all, "U DIE NOW SUCKA! I WANT YO KINGDOM.", Nutcracker defeats him (he gets stabbed AND falls out of a window. Or the stairs...can't remember), Nutcracker turns into a Prince, big ole "YAY!" fest, and then she and he live happily ever after~
The rich family discover the next morning the little servant girl in front of the fire place, clutching the Nutcracker. The master is about to beat the bujeebles out of her, when little chubby spoilt boy looks up at his parentals with a grave look on his face. She died with a smile on her face.
