I was thinking this morning, what could beat up an Evangelion? And then I thought of my favourite thing in the whole world - and came up with this
Though, as I quite like Asuka - I'm going to pretend it's Shinji in there (I used Unit-02 cos I asked a friend and he sugested it, as it 'doesn't look as cool as the others' )

Your opinions towards both the Godzilla and Evangelion franchises are yours to decide, and if you dislike it, well... I've seen a lot of people with even lower opinions towards both. Me, I am a Godzilla fan, and I like some parts of Eva better than I like others. I have to say, though, a Godzilla anime would actually be pretty cool. In regards to your comment about Godzilla being nigh-impossible to injure, Gigan opened up his forehead pretty easily, and while the military doesn't deal lasting damage, he'd have to at least feel the tank shells and missiles to be able to react to them. In all likelihood, they cause him mild-to-moderate discomfort. The razor-missiles in G2K and Kiryu's drill-arm cut him up pretty badly too. Good think he can heal.

What I mean was they were able to injure him because they were specifically designed as anti-Godzilla weapons, the evas were not! And yes, I am a major G-fan that originally thought that Evangelion was a Godzilla anime for some reason which is why I originally watched it but it turned out to be horrendous!

The disappointment may be what tainted your opinion of it, but if you don't like it, you don't like it. It's not my favourite anime either. I was a bit taken aback by it myself, and I personally prefer Godzilla as well. I did find it to be curious that Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla had a similar premise to Evangelion: a giant monster is ravaging Japan, so the government constructs a cyborg clone of said monster to fight it. The cyborg is piloted by a person inflicted with PTSD, and goes berserk and rampages while fighting. Coincidence, or deliberate shout-out? Regardless, I thought that was one of the better Godzilla films, as it had an interesting, dynamic human cast while not interfering with the monster vs. monster action.

I was fairly young when I saw it so some of the heavy violence in a few episodes may have helped in my intense hatred for it but it was probably mostly the strangeness of all the characters: a loser of a teen who's own father deserted him for his job, a slut as his guardian, a russian girl with an unjustified temper that does her more harm than good, a frikin' clone experiment, and sooooo many other wacky characters that are just too hard to describe rationally. I never really though of that but your right, Evangelion does seem to have a similar plot to Godzilla, especially S.O.S.! Now you have given me another reason to despise that show! And that was a great movie too, one of the best of the Godzilla saga, definitely in the top ten! Dem bastards! In terms of giant movie monsters, Japan has made some of the best: Godzilla, Gamera, Gyaos, Gigan, King Ghidorah, Destroyah, Ultraman, Spacegodzilla, Mechagodzilla, and soooooooooo many more amazing kaiju but the evas are just a real back step for Japan in the making of giant monsters. And Shinji does share some resemblances with the pilots of Kiryu, especially the first, Lieutenant Akane Yashiro, though none of them are nearly as depressed or as worthless as a human beings as Shinji is. Anyway, I have to say, though you do have just slightly more liking to Evangelion as I would like, I do admire the fact that your thoughts are fairly unbiased. I mean, I'm not totally bias, I do back up my claims with actually facts from both the monster's worlds but I still have the bias opinion towards the whole idea. Even my first deviation, which should come out today or tomorrow, is centered around this topic and gives a very graphic depiction of how I, and many other people, including perhaps yourself, think this whole battle would go down. I have been arguing with countless other people about this topic (I'm not saying I'm arguing with you; it's more like a debate/ formal discussion.) such as SamuraiBrosnya, heard of him? He is still tying to argue that the AT field is impenetrable without another AT field to cancel it out, but we all known that that's not the only way to get around a barrier. For example, anti-matter might be the only way to destroy matter but that does not mean you need anti-matter to get through a brick wall. There are others ways such as: dissipating the wall, or moving some of its matter, or using chemical reactions to chance the physical properties of that matter to make it easier to travel through, etc, etc, etc. Yes, I know that matter acts differently than energy but ideas are still the same.

You, sir, take the cake for the longest message I have gotten. Congratu... no, never mind. Yeah, at least Akane recovered, unlike Mr. "You just has a psychotic breakdown and/or killed every living thing on the planet". Still, there would have to be something wrong with anyone to not get messed up in the head going up against monsters like Godzilla or the Angels. I try to be unbiased, as I do like both franchises - sorry, you may dislike the anime, but Eva-01's berserk moments are my favourite scenes. The rest? Meh. - so I've been trying to fairly represent both sides. I'm actually enjoying this conversation with you, so thanks! When you complete that deviation, let me know. ^_^
I've never heard of SamuraiBrosnya, though, but from what I recall (it's been a long time since I watched Eva), the N2 bombs (like H-Bombs but more powerful) were only moderately effective against the Angels, and they had to drain all of Tokyo's electrical grid to power a gun powerful enough to penetrate a moderately powerful AT Field, so cancelling it out with another AT Field is definitely easier - although you are right that it is not the only option. Godzilla's Crimson Spiral Ray, especially FW's, could plausibly possess enough power to burn through an AT Field, but poor Showa's and 54's Atomic Breaths would probably be like trying to burn through that brick wall analogy with a flamethrower. Why not just bypass that brick wall by cutting the cord and waiting five minutes?

No problem, it's actually quit interesting! As for the AT field..., exactly, why not just cut the cord?! You know, Godzilla has performed some pretty intellectual moves in battle before, I think he would catch on to their cord pretty soon. Though after realizing that his atomic breath is not as useful as physical strength, he would probably resort to hand-to-hand combat. Also, I do believe that he would be able to send his fist through the AT field to latch onto the eva and then I think we ALL know what would happen next... not pretty or clean!

Even if Godzilla failed to make the connection, one wrong (or right) step, and the Eva would be on the ropes. However, how useful Godzilla's physical strength would be depends on the strength of the AT Field the Eva projects. Going by the clips I've been able to find on YouTube and the info on the Eva Wiki, a weak AT Field can be broken relatively easily by a strong-enough blow, but a powerful field can withstand multiple N2 bombs point-blank without taking any damage. Going by this, not even a Godzilla-powered punch would be capable of piercing a powerful AT Field. FW Godzilla (easily the strongest of the various Godzillas, seeing how he easily threw Kumonga over the horizon and launched Kaiser Ghidorah into orbit) could plausibly damage an AT Field through physically means, but I would say his Atomic Breath or a G2K-style Nuclear Pulse would be more useful against an AT Field than melee combat. If Godzilla can break through a weak AT Field (or if the pilot suffers a mental breakdown and de-syncs with the Eva), than the Eva is toast - literally, but Godzilla is not without weaknesses himself. High voltages of electricity, Oxygen Destroyer/Micro-Oxygen, cadmium, and Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria have severely weakened, injured, or killed various incarnations of Godzilla. The Super-X and all three MechaGodzillas - which were only manmade machines in comparison to the rather Lovecraftian "demons", as you called them, that the Eva were created from - were able to injure and/or defeat Godzilla, however temporarily. I apologize if I offend you in any way by stating my personal opinion on this - you have every right to disagree and contradict me if you see fit - but to me, for an advanced alien robot, MechaGodzilla 1 looks somewhat less intimidating than this .
Now that I've said that, in her berserk state Unit-01 only used her AT Field once, offensively, to slice open the Angel she was fighting, and most versions of Godzilla would probably be able to withstand that blow - whether they would be injured and how significantly depends on which Godzilla is considered - and retaliate accordingly. Going by this chart of Godzilla's heights (which I assume is partially incorrect: according to Toho Kingdom - admittedly not the most accurate of sources - the Millennium Godzillas were only around 50 meters tall), a papercut like that would only serve to irritate Hensei Godzilla and FW Godzilla; G2K and GMK Godzilla - which have the fastest regen - could heal quickly enough to retaliate accordingly; but the weaker, smaller Showa Godzilla and AM/SOS Godzilla (I consider the Godzilla from Against MechaGodzilla and Tokyo SOS to be weak because after one year he still hadn't completely healed from Kiryu's Absolute Zero Cannon) would be in trouble. Even an AT Field-enhanced prog knife has the potential to deal serious damage seeing how easily they were injured by Gigan and MechaGodzilla 1, and Kiryu respectively.

Assuming we are talking about FW Godzilla considering that, in the Godzilla world, all the others have 'passed away', so he is the only one left 'alive', presumably, in the present. They never really did show Show Godzilla or Godzilla 2000 die in any of the movies so for the Show Big G, I presume they just changed his suit in Return of Godzilla but it was still the same monster. As for 2000, I'm not sure what happened to him. Last we saw of him he was sinking into the Japanese Trench with Kiryu. As we know, Godzilla has lied dormant in the abyss for several years before so I doubt this was fatal but the question still remains, what happened to him? Anyway (Sorry I'm a little off topic!), assuming it's FW Godzilla, I think he could crush through the AT field no matter what the strength if he just used enough force and nuclear strength. But his spiral ray could totally penetrate the AT field if it was shot at full power, no problem! As for the Mechs created by aliens and the JSDF, they were able to damage Godzilla so heavily, especially Showa Godzilla, because they were designed to be Anti-Godzilla weapons, the evas were not, they were designed to fight creatures several tens of times easier to beat that Godzilla (I still think the angels look more like demons!). That is why they would ultimately fail to defeat Godzilla, they were just not designed to do so and anything note designed to kill Godzilla fails (The oxygen-destroyer doesn't count because that think kills ANYTHING that needs oxygen to survive so it would fry the evas too!) I don't think that SOS Godzilla is weak, I think he is one of the stronger ones. Think about he only sustained substantial wounds to the chest after being shot by the ABSOLUTE ZERO CANNON, a weapon designed to freeze monsters solid to absolute zero were there bodies would crumble under their own weight! I find that pretty impressive! By the way, impressively long reply! Also, about my upcoming picture, I'm in the process of writhing a story for it and the evas get their asses beat unfathomably hard (It's FW Godzilla because I placed the story in 2021 about and he was the last Godzilla seen so...) in the most violent of was. If you want, I could forward the story to you or give you some sneak peaks or, you could just wait until it appears under my first deviation, that works just as well! (Don't be surprise if I do forward it to you via comment and its the longest comment you ever saw; the stories several pages long already and I'm barely half way there!)

Well, one of the main difficulties in fighting the Angels was that many of them had near-insantanious regenerative abilities, and with some of the stronger Angels even the Evas couldn't penetrate their AT Fields. According to the Eva Wiki, the Angels and Evas aren't made of flesh-and-blood, but some kind of energy-matter hybrid, so whether the Oxygen Destroyer could effect that is unknown. (A side note: the reason the Angels look like "demons" is because the author was aiming for a more Biblical depiction: angels only started being portrayed as winged humans in the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and the descriptions of the higher-order angels given in the Hebrew Bible are quite monstrous.) 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
As for the continuity of the Godzilla franchise, you probably already know most-to-all of this already, but to recap (so far as I know) there have been approximately seven different incarnations of Godzilla:
Gojira (G54)/GMK Godzilla/Kiryu was the original Godzilla, stated in the movie to have been living in underwater ravines and caverns until mutated by the H-Bomb. G54 was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer in most continuities, and was resurrected in GMK as an undead force of destruction, and brought back as Kiryu in Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla.
Showa Godzilla was found on Bikini Atoll in Godzilla Raids Again, and was a separate monster from the original. (This was alluded to in the Japanese version of the original, where Dr. Yamane said another Godzilla was bound to show up.) Unlike G54 and Hensei Godzilla, he never died, as the chronologically last film, Destroy All Monsters, had him living peacefully (???) on Monster Island in 1999.
Hensei Godzilla debuted in Return of Godzilla. The Hensei series ignored the Showa films and Hensei Godzilla was revealed to be a separate monster from G54 in
Godzilla 2000 (G2K) starred Godzilla 2000, which ignored the previous films except for Gojira and rebooted the series, as did the rest of the Millennium films. Whether this Godzilla was the same as G54 wasn't addressed in the film, though. The suit was reused for Godzilla vs. Megaguirus the two films are not connected so they can be considered separate Godzillas.
AM/TSOS Godzilla was a separate monster from the original, though his origin was not explained. He was badly injured and defeated twice by Kiryu.
FW Godzilla was originally intended to be Godzilla Jr. from the Hensei series, but that plot point was left open to the interpretation of the fans.

Interesting, I didn't know about the old angel interpretation. Well, you learn things all the time, I guess. And yes, I did know all this...! The last movie in the Showa series was Terror of Mechagodzilla but it is true that Destroy All Monsters took place in the future so that topic can be interpreted as wished. I do not think that the original Godzilla 2000 and the one from SOS are different, I think they are considered the same creature for their body design is extremely similar. The only issue I see with this idea is that 2000's atomic breath is red and SOS's is the regular blue. Because of this, the idea is still up to interpretation. Returning back to your previous message. I don't think the evas are equipped with any of the things you said cripple Godzilla: Oxygen Destroyer, Cadmium, Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria, etc... except perhaps an electrical pulse but Godzilla was withstood powerful voltages before, they just cause him annoyance pain. And yes, even though Mechagodzilla's face is quit menacing, the fact that he was a rubber suit kind of made him a little less intimidating that berserk mode evas but it's note the look that matters, it's the actions. Mechagodzilla is a living missile equipped with more artillery than all the arsenals of all the Earth's nation's militaries combined. In terms of my story, I am continuing to write it between conversations with you. I hope it should be done by the end of the day! Impressively long comment, though, it does have a bunch of gaps in it which may be the reason why it's sooooooooo long.

Well, you're right that G2K and SOS Godzilla are similar, but G2K had green scales and his head was slightly longer and more pointed, and SOS Godzilla had charcoal-grey scales and his spines were smaller and a different color. But you're also right that it's up to the viewer's interpretation, and Godzilla's head and spines changed throughout the Showa and Hensei series as well as they altered the costumes.
On another note, Godzilla's mass alone (between 20 000 and 60 000 tons) would be enough to keep him grounded against any of the Evas' physical attacks and most, if not all, of the Angels, although a powerful AT Field could possibly push him back. That said, the Evas' prog knives and sonic glaive vibrate at an extremely high frequency, increasing their sharpness to the point where they can cut pretty much anything at a molecular level. (paraphrased from Eva wiki) One lucky blow to the throat would render Godzilla unable to use his Atomic Breath properly until the wound healed or risk further injury, as happened in GMK.
I apologize about the gaps in my last post, but I decided to separate the paragraphs to prevent them from getting all muddled together. The 300 000 volts of electricity merely annoyed Godzilla, but a million volts caused him enough pain to put a halt to his destination:Tokyo march. How much electricity is needed to power up the Evas I don't know, but it's probably nowhere near that amount, so snapping the umbilical cable wouldn't even phase him.

Don't worry about the spaces, I was just pointing that out, no prob! It is true according to EvaWiki that the knife vibrates at an extremely high frequency, BUT, the Prog Knife never did cut through anything as strong as Godzilla, I'm not sure... In my story, his skin is immune to the stabs of the Prog Knife AND Smash Hawk, however, not to the positron rifle except his spines which are literally indestructible, as described several times in the franchise. He is also able to smash through the AT field then damage the evas so heavily they are forced to bring it offline. GMK was defeated this way because of the fact that he literally was a 'mindless beast', only caring about defeating his enemies; not all the Godzilla were like that. Yes, snapping the cord would be nothing to Godzilla, though, in my story, he using his atomic blast to snap it. About that, I'm about 2/3 done now with the story, I'm at the part were unit 00 gets it!

I am having one of my fiends look at it tomorrow but he has never seen Evangelion so his opinion is ten times more bias than mine! FINALLY, the story is done! 8 pages of pure carnage! This version is unedited and you, my friend, are the FIRST person to be able to ready it so I hope you enjoy and feel free to correct any of my grammatical errors or plot line errors, I want to make this story as accurate as possible! Here it is (don't worry if it takes hours to read, it took DAYS to write!) Enjoy!:
Godzilla VS Evangelion
It was another beautiful day in the bustling town of Tokyo-3. The inhabitants went about their daily activities, reassured that they were safe knowing that their borders were under constant monitoring by NERV’s watchful eyes. It was the 3rd of November and almost a year since the last angel attack. This also comforted the inhabitants of the city believing that the threat of angels to mankind might finally be over. It was just another ordinary day. The staff at NERV HQ had constant surveillance in case another angel would expose itself but most were reassured that wouldn’t happen.
Then suddenly, a large object appeared on the radar giving off a huge amount of radiation as it approaching the city at a staggering speed of 40 knots. The enormous beast was estimated to be at least 80 meters in height, over 120 meters in length and perhaps over 25,000 metric tons! After the unfortunate deaths of Captain Misato Katsuragi and Commander Ritsuko Akagi, their lieutenants, Makoto Hyuga and Maya Ibuki, to their place as commanders. They reassured Shinji Ikari, pilot of eva unit 01, and suited him to prepare for the launch of unit 01. NERV launched unit 01 to dispose of the approaching angel at precisely 11: 27 A.M. The inhabitants of the city were informed of the approaching angel and evacuated to NERV HQ under the city in the Geofront were they would be safe while unit 01 destroyed the angel. Shinji awaited the arrival of the approaching angel on the shore, prepared to kill the creature before it reached the city. As the monstrous angel approached, spines could be seen slashing through the surf.
Finally, as the angel reach the shallows, the ocean surf exploded and out of the enormous burst of liquid the beast revealed itself. This angel towering over unit 01 was strange compared to the others Shinji had faced in the past, with an upright pose, strong jaws with a double row of serrated teeth, large, muscular chest, arms, and legs, but most strikingly, a myriad of spiky structures jutting out of its back! What’s more, this angel emitted a huge amount of radiation from its muscular body and it had no AT field! Then it dawned on Makoto, he had read several mangas during his free time about a giant nuclear behemoth that terrorized Japan for 50 years before submerging into the depths of the sea to rest. He never thought that these mangas were based on true stories, but they were. This was no angel; this monstrosity on the shore of Tokyo-3 was Godzilla! The nuclear behemoth had returned after lying dormant under the waves for the last 17 years! Makoto managed to reach Shinji “Shinji, that thing you're about to fight, it’s not an angel! It’s a mutated dinosaur possessing extreme nuclear powers known as Godzilla! Use the fact that Godzilla does not have an AT field to your advantage.” The name didn’t ring-a-bell to Shinji but he took Makoto’s advice “OK, I’ll do the best I can!”
Godzilla was not sure of what the eva was or what its motives were so he just stood there, puzzled by the creature standing before him. Shinji grew tired of waiting and assumed attack position. Being a veteran fighter, Godzilla knew the offensive posed assumed by unit 01, he knew its motives weren’t friendly. Godzilla roared and prepared for battle. Shinji rushed towards Godzilla and leaped into the air, hoping to catch him off guard but the monstrosity was not fooled. As Shinji descended, Progressive Knife extended, Godzilla opened his mighty jaws as his through begins to glow bright blue and an enormous beam of pure nuclear energy was released, blasting Shinji out of the air, forcing him deep into the city where he crashes into a small building, reducing it to rubble.
Shinji regains his footing as Godzilla continues to approach. When he reaches the outskirts of the city, his enormous feet begin to crush smaller buildings as he pushes others aside to clear path to his primary target. Shinji activates his AT field but realizes he lost his Prog Knife in the fall. He deployed the Smash Hawk and prepares for the next round. Godzilla knocks over a skyscraper in his way and shoot another blast of his atomic breath at unit 01. To the great beasts surprise, the weak shot was deflected by the AT field. Shinji grinned as he charged Godzilla, the Smash Hawk extended. Godzilla tries to foil the attack and smashed his fist into the floor but the eva jumps to the side, avoiding the attack. Shinji then uses the momentum of the jump to cause maximum damage as he descends to strike Godzilla. The lumbering behemoth is unable to move out of the way fast enough and was struck by the Smash Hawk. Shinji stares in amazement to see that the Hawk blade did no damage to the monster, its thick hide had deflected the blow! Staff members at NERV watched in awe to see that their specially designed weapon failed to even slightly puncture the creature’s near-impenetrable hide. Godzilla used this moment to his advantage and lunged for the eva. At first the AT field deflected his attempts to reach the eva but Godzilla was not deterred. Using all the force he could muster, he smashed his clawed hand into the AT field, attempting to breach it. Sparks of energy flew as the AT field gave way to the immense power of the king of the monsters. Within seconds, his hand breached through the barrier and he latched it around the evas neck. Then, with a burst of speed and power, he smashed his other hand through the AT field. This scaly hand grabbed the evas right wrist. He lowered his other hand to grasp the evas left wrist. Then, using all his might, Godzilla pulled the evas arms apart, tearing them from the cyborg’s body! Unit 01 along with Shinji screamed in pain and they crashed to the ground, the eva’s fresh wounds gushing warm blood. The AT field dissipated for the eva could not keep it running after sustaining such heavy damage!
NERV, dumbfounded by the amazing power Godzilla possessed, hurried to prepare Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Soryu for the launch of units 00 and 02 to counter Godzilla. Godzilla, however, was not about to wait, he was going to make sure Shinji never fought again! He reached down and grabbed the motionless body of the eva but before he was able to do further damage, there was a huge bang! Godzilla felt terrible pain as something penetrated his shoulder. He roared in pain, releasing unit 01 body from his grasp. The cyborg crashed to the ground as Godzilla turned to meet his new foes. Luckily for Shinji NERV was able to dispatch units 00 and 02 before Godzilla could reap him to shreds.
Rei’s eva was equipped with a positron rifle, one of the only weapons capable of penetrating Godzilla’s thick hide. Asuka, however, still held here Prog Knife, believing hers of superior quality could penetrate Godzilla’s skin. Godzilla roared in anger from his wounds but as NERV staff members observed, his injury was healing! His incredibly fast regeneration process was already taking effect! “ Asuka, Rei!” Maya said over the radio. “You have to take out Godzilla quickly, extremely quickly or else his wounds will heal! The wounds caused by Rei’s positron rifle shot are already almost healed!” The news terrified the eva pilots who refused to answer; how could they defeat something so powerful in so little time that’s its amazing regeneration process won’t take effect?! Godzilla shrugged off the pain and prepared for another assault! In concert, the two evas rushed towards Godzilla. Godzilla shot his atomic breath at the approaching cyborgs but they leaped to the side to avoid the blast. Godzilla then turned and using his massive tail, smashed unit 00 out of the air, launching here across the city. She smashed through buildings as she tumbled, finally stopping in a large building on the leftmost edge of the city. Rei was knocked unconscious by the great shock! This terrified NERV; they knew Asuka had no chance alone at beating Godzilla.
Godzilla’s tail crashed to the ground, smashing several buildings behind him. Asuka was able to avoid the large tail as it swung by. She descended from her jump; Prog Knife equipped and plunged it into Godzilla’s neck. She was stunned when she realized the knife didn’t even penetrate his hide; she didn’t pay attention to Shinji’s previous failure. Enraged by her failed attempt, she repeatedly attempted to penetrate Godzilla’s hide with her Prog Knife. Irritated by her efforts, Godzilla smashed his clawed hand through the AT field and crushed down on unit 02’s neck wrist. Asuka screamed and the eva’s wrist was crushed. The eva released its grip on the Prog Knife as its wrist was crushed. She continued to try and stab the creature so he would release his grip with no success. This further irritated the behemoth, which continued to forcefully tear the eva’s hand right out of its socket! Asuka screamed in pain as the AT field dissipated and the eva slumped to the ground. Then, Godzilla grabbed ahold of the eva’s neck, lifted it up off the ground and smashed his open hand onto the eva’s chest plate, crushing it as he squeezed down. He then continued to dig his hand deeper into the unit’s chest cavity. Unit 02 and Asuka screamed in utter pain as Godzilla’s hand dug into the unit’s chest. After drilling his hand sufficiently deep, he stopped for a moment then thrust his hand out the eva’s body, its core firmly grasped in his hand. Electrical wires and organelle tissue still was attached to the core to the eva’s body as Asuka shrieked and desperately tried to make the creature release her unit’s core. But the beast refused to release his gripe and then, in an instant, it was over. His hand retracted into a fist, crushing the core. The eva ceased movement as Godzilla released his grip and the lifeless body fell to the floor. Godzilla then opened his hand, letting the shards of the shattered core drop to the ground, blending with the rest of the rubble created during the squabble. Though the cyborg was defeated, Godzilla was not done with its corps. He continued to dig his hand into the lifeless evas chest cavity. He then turned his fingers upwards and began to tear. He wrapped his hand around the evas crushed chest plate and tour it clean off, along with a large, ragged piece of bloody flesh with shattered bones inside attached to it. He threw the chest plate aside and noticed a strange plug jutting out of the opened cavity. He slashed flesh aside and then grabbed the plug, pulling it out of eva’s lifeless body with a busrt of blood. Asuka was screaming inside from the excruciating pain and frustration. She had failed. Her eva was being torn to pieces and she could feel every scratch. However, Godzilla could not hear the horrified girl’s screaming pleads for mercy and after a few moments decided that no part of the eva should be left intact! He snarled and in an instant, collapsed his hand into a fist, crushing the entry plug. Asuka was crushed instantly, her blood and internal tissues splattered all over the interior of the plug. The pressure was so great that the two ends of the plucks cracked open, seeping gases and warm blood. Godzilla the discarded the entry plug which detonated at feet on contact with the ground. Godzilla roared in victory then turn, returning his attention to the crippled eva unit 01, his tail swinging behind him, smashing buildings and launching unit 02 lifeless body into the distance.
He began to walk towards unit 01 as NERV staff watched in complete horror. Their most advanced eva unit was ripped to shreds and the monstrosity who did so was now heading to finish their other evas off. Unit 01 was trying to regain his footing without the use of his now nonexistent arms with little success. As Godzilla approached, he noticed a large wire attached to the evas back that lead deep into the rubble from the fight. Godzilla was not able to pinpoint where it led to but he didn’t care, he knew the cord meant trouble! His jaw opened in a flash his spiral ray burst out his gaping jaws, splitting the cable, in two with ease. Now Shinji had 5 minutes to finish the job. NERV was horrified by the severed cord and the fact that this though ‘mindless beast’ actually has intelligence! Shinji was also terrified; if his eva ran out of energy, he would be powerless against the unrelenting might of Godzilla. He now frantically tried to regain his footing but Godzilla fouled his attempts by crushing down of the eva with his enormous food. Shinji still tried to break from but with no success. Godzilla continued to crush his four clawed toes into the evas back. First the armor plating was crushed and torn through, then his claws began to penetrate the evas body. Shinji screamed in pain as blood seeped from the wounds. Godzilla continued to put pressure of the body, its chest plate squeaking as it began to dent and crack from the pressure. The monstrosity grinned as its final target was being flattened alive. Blood began to pour from the evas open mouth as his innards were being pressed outwards. The entry plug also began to dent and bend from the pressure. The end seemed sure for Shinji.
Then, a huge bang was heard in the distance as something tanged off of Godzilla’s impenetrable dorsal spines. His grin ceased and he turned, snarling at this unknown threat. It was unit 00; Rei had regained consciousness and retreated her positron rifle. Sadly, she shot at Godzilla’s spines, which are impervious to damage from any known substance! She blew the steam off from the nozzle and reloaded. Godzilla roared, lifting his foot off of uni 01 to face his new opponent. Rei was on the other side of the city from Godzilla, preparing another shot. She pointed the rifle at Godzilla, aiming for his chest, and fired. The huge gun’s nozzle lit up as it ejected the canister, sending hundreds of small positron pellets rifling towards Godzilla. It was a direct hit. Godzilla roared in anger but shrugged off the pain. Godzilla then roared again, this time much more menacingly. He then lowered his head and began to charge. Godzilla rushed towards Rei at incredible speeds. Rei was stunned by how fast the presumed ‘lumbering behemoth’ could move. Godzilla smashed buildings out of the way as he rushed across the city, his enormous strides crushing several tens of meters into the ground. Rei reloaded and shot again, landing a direct hit in Godzilla’s shoulder. Then she shot again, and again, and again, all direct hits but the monster was not deterred. As Godzilla approached, she quickly reloaded and aimed for a deathblow to the skull but the monstrosity was not fooled. Godzilla leaped forward, crushing down into the city floor, releasing a huge crack that ripped through the city. NERV now feared that Godzilla might crush through the city floor and fall into the Geofront were would easily be able to find and crush NERV HQ. Godzilla then rushed up to unit 00 and before she could fire Godzilla grabbed ahold of rifles nozzle, crushing it shut and bending it upwards. Godzilla grinned as the terrified Rei pulled the trigger, detonating the gun, pushing both heavyweights back. Godzilla was only pushed back slightly, shrugging off the blast but unit 00 was forced to the ground several blocks away. NERV watched in awe waiting for the smoke to clear. As the smoke finally faded away, Godzilla was the only one standing, the explosion severely damaging the arm and chest area of unit 00. Her AT field was also damaged in the explosion. Godzilla located the crippled body and began to approach, each of his steps crushing through the ground, further weakening the only barrier between him and the Geofront. When he arrived at the body, unit 00 pulled out her Prog Knife trying to keep Godzilla away but the monstrosity smacked the knife away from her then grabbed onto her metallic skull. Sinking his claws deep and continuously applying intense pressure, the head began dent and crack, blood pouring from the gashes. Then Godzilla snarled and raised the eva’s head before smashing down into the ground. The head was crushed by the impact and lay motionless there, back to the sky but again, Godzilla was not done with the corps. He pushed one hand against the eva’s back and plunged the other one into its back just to the side if the backbone. He then turned his hand, forcing it around the vertebrae and thrusting his fingers out the other side. He now had a firm grasp of the backbone. NERV continued to watch in horror, wondering what terrible things the king of the monsters would do now to their first eva. Godzilla then roared as his hand pulled back. The armor on the eva’s back began to bend and crack as the backbone was slowly pulled out of the body. Blood burst from the growing wound as Godzilla continued to pull the eva’s vertebrae out. Rei screamed as the vertebrae was torn out. She had never felt pain as excruciating as what she could feel now; it was unbearable. NERV watched, helpless to help Rei and mortified at the intense power and aggression of the great beast. Godzilla continued to force more of the spine out of the eva’s body until it snapped; the entire spine had been torn from the eva’s body, head still attached. He roared in triumph as he discarded the bloodstained, flesh-covered vertebrae. He then continued to tear through the lifeless body as if searching for something. Then he found. Grabbing onto something, he pulled the entry plug out of the shredded back. Shinji observing from his crippled unit in the distance, screamed as Godzilla threw the entry plug, containing the only soul he could ever care for, Rei, into the ground and crushed it flat with his mighty foot, sending it into a crater created by his enormous footstep. He burrowed his hands into his arms and began to cry, his only love killed before his very eyes! Two evas down, one to go.
Godzilla once again turned his attention to unit 01. As the lumbering behemoth approached and the sound of his mighty footsteps began to grow, Shinji raised his head, tears dripping from his eyes, which burned with hatred. Shinji had seen the terrible fate of his friends, especially his love Rei, and was not about to let their deaths be in vain. Fueled by his rage, unit 01 entered berserk mode, raising itself from the ground and prepared to do anything to save his life and the life of those still alive he cared deeply for. The eva charged for Godzilla filled with rage but the monster retaliated with a blast of his atomic breath landing a direct hit into the charging cyborg’s chest. The berserk eva, enraged, continued to press forward as its chest plate began to steam and melt. Refusing to give up, the eva continued to press on but was soon forced to the ground, steaming as it's metal plating began to melt. Shinji could feel the pain but he didn’t care, he was determined to press onwards. The eva raised itself again only to be pummeled into the ground by Godzilla’s massive fist. Godzilla looked down upon his believed defeated enemy but Shinji still had some fight left in him. He quickly raised the eva to attack, jaws opened ready to strike! Godzilla was quickly able to react and grabbed onto the evas open jaws. Shinji continued to thrust the eva forward desperately trying to break free of its powerful grip and continue the assault. The eva’s jaws tried to close but Godzilla refused to relent his grip. Godzilla grew tired of the squirming eva and began to force its evas jaws open. Now fearing for his life, Shinji desperately tried to close his eva’s mouth but Godzilla’s strength far exceeded his. Bit by bit, the jaws began to push farther and farther from each other. As Godzilla pushed, he also charged up his atomic blast, waiting for the right moment to fire. Blood began to seep from the open mouth as the pressure increased. Shinji screaming in pain still tried to stop the monster but his efforts were futile. Godzilla launched his atomic breath into the eva’s open mouth as he slip the jaw with a large crack. Shinji screamed with intense pain; he could feel his innards being incinerated as his eva’s interior was being. The body began to bloat as steam seeped from the body as flesh and metal alike began to melt. Finally, the body burst from the pressure, blasting out huge chunks of burnt flesh and molten metal along with releasing a huge amount of nuclear energy. These remains of what used to be a mighty eva rained from the sky onto Godzilla as he roared in victory.
Then the monster began searching the rubble for something, leveling buildings and crushing the very ground he walked upon as he did. After several minutes of rampaging, he found what he was looking for: unit 01’s entry plug. Shinji, more dead than alive, lay helplessly in the capsule and the behemoth approached. The entry plug was steaming and partially melted in some areas. One side, presumably the one it landed on after the explosion of the eva’s body, was dented and slightly bend. Godzilla picked up the burning plug and glared at it for a moment; he knew there was a life force in their, not a very strong one at that. Shinji looked up, barely alive; he had failed. Hid friend was dead, his love killed before his very eyes and now he was going to die as well. Godzilla threw the plug into the air then blasted his atomic breath straight for it as Shinji closed his eyes, ready to die. When the blast struck the plug it exploded as a fiery mushroom cloud appeared over the area of contact. A huge lump of molten metal cloaked in flames crashed to the ground; with it, all that was left of Shinji and his precious eva.
NERV was mortified as the nefarious monster roared in triumph. The blood curdling screech lasted for almost a minute before the creature stopped. Though NERV though that now that all the evas were killed, Godzilla would leave but the evas were never his target in the first place, only hurdles. Godzilla continued to trample the city, stumping NERV staff members over what he could be searching for. With every crushing step, the ground began to bend, crack as the feeble ground separating Godzilla, slayer of Gods, from the Geofront and NERV HQ. As Godzilla reached the center of the city he crushed his massive foot into the ground, crushing the last standing building of the city. His foot sank into the ground, puzzling the monster and then, the ground gave. Tokyo-3 fell, its enormous mass smashing into the Geofront with Godzilla. The city was reduced to rubble and earth during the fall. With a few pushes, Godzilla managed to free himself from the debris, shaking the remaining rubble off his body. Godzilla looked around, stopping his gaze staring directly at NERV HQ. Godzilla never returned from his long sleep to kill the evas, his real goal was NERV all along, the nuclear energy produced by NERV HQ, that’s what he was really after. Godzilla began marching towards the vicinity. Everyone in the compound began to panic, screaming and desperately trying to escape the building. NERV sent ut several mass spawned evas to try and stop the approaching foe but alas, they fell as quickly as the building in Tokyo-3 at the hands of the merciless monstrosity. NERV in a final desperate attempt to by the unruly people still trapped within the NERV compound some time to escape, they sent out all the mass produced evas. The creatures modded Godzilla, trying to overpower the monster but Godzilla would not go down so easily. The nuclear behemoth released a huge wave a nuclear energy, pushing the evas back and badly burning some. Then Godzilla crushed his mighty feet and enormous tail into the ground as energy spiraling into his mouth began to glow bright blue as his spiral ray shot from his gaping mouth, incinerating everything it touched. The monstrous blast crushed through the ground, burned tree and vaporized the evas in a matter of seconds. His beam scorched the battlefield as it moved. When the beam finally ceased, the field was on fire, nothing had survived, at least from what Godzilla could see. Two mass spawned evas avoided the deadly blast and prepared for a sneak attack. The evas approached but Godzilla sensed their presence before they were able to strike. Godzilla turned and shot a short range flare shot, blinding his foes and pushing them back. Then with a massive burst of energy Godzilla rushed forwards with a fist prepared and smashed the evas to the ground, denting their skulls and sending blood flying. The crippled evas were powerless as Godzilla began to tear them limb-from-limb. Blood and flesh flew as Godzilla slowly ripped them apart, showing no mercy to the supposed ‘lucky’ survivors of his spiral beam.
Meanwhile, NERV HQ was being evacuated, thousands of people trying to flee from the approaching menace. No one even bothered to observe the horrific scene unfolding in front of the vicinity. Godzilla finished off the evas quickly and returned his attention to NERV HQ. He shot another blast of his spiral ray directly into the building, bursting straight through it. The blast burst through the main control room, sent huge chucks of the glass, concrete and electronics flying, crushing several people who were unfortunate enough to still be in the area. There was now nothing to stop the monster. Godzilla crushed through the building, shattering everything in sight. He reduced NERV HQ to rubble, crushing or incinerating everyone who was in the building, no one escaped. Godzilla absorbed all the nuclear energy from the compound then, without any retaliation or violence, began returning to the sea.
Being several miles underground, Godzilla could not return to the sea from his current position. Godzilla returned to the place he were he first fell into the Geofront. A stared up at the huge wall of earth separating him from the ocean. Then, the monstrosity shot another blast of his spiral ray. The massive beam crashed into the mass of earth, instantly starting to erode earth from the wall. Bit-by-bit the wall began to shrink and soon water began to flow into the Geofront. When the Geofront completely flooded, the killer of Gods returned to the abyss from where he came, without a sound or a struggle.
Over the years, the harsh current near the shore continued to erode at the area until it returned to the calm beach it was on that fateful day on the 3rd of November. No one ever bothered trying to restore Tokyo-3 let alone the Geofront. The evas were never rebuilt and new pilots were never found. People just tried to forget the event but the the voracious assault lingered in their minds. People began having questions about Japan’s most feared enemy: Godzilla. Where was the monstrosity now in his hibernation under the waves and when would he return again to terrorize the great country of Japan, the place where the beats was first born, a miracle of nature that would stop at nothing to show mankind the stupidity of their ways...

Hmm... I'm trying to think of some constructive criticism to say without offending you. It's not bad, for starters. Your bias towards Godzilla certainly shows, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My advice for now is to look over your grammar, capitalization, and spelling, but it's nothing major. Having rewatched some of Godzilla's melee fights, I personally think the Evas would have put up a bit better fight, maybe Evas 1 & 2 nailing him with their synchronized attack, which would have stunned, if not injured, him, considering how it blasted Israfel through a mountain. Tokyo-3 is equipped with high-powered weapons and equipment designed to snare and trap Angels (which may not injure Godzilla but would probably distract him), and an N2 bomb barrage would have probably caused him pain if not injury. That said, the overwhelming probability is that the end result would be that Godzilla wins, barring Shinji successfully triggering Third Impact and it effecting Godzilla. All in all, I'm impressed and I look forward to your deviation. ^_^ Keep up the good work.

Thank's! I appreciate the comment but your right, it does need some work. I'll take your advice and maybe add some stuff you mentioned such as Tokyo-3's weaponry. I was going for a FW type of Godzilla with an unrelenting fury and merciless attitude towards anything in his way. If you noticed, I placed the story in the future, 17 years after Godzilla's last appearance. It also takes place on the same day Godzilla attacked Tokyo the first time in 1954. I made him awaken because of nuclear energy produced by NERV HQ (I'm not sure if they produce nuclear energy, correct me if I'm wrong!) and when he rose from the waves and found the evas, he saw them as intruders on his home turf like Gigan, Destroyah, and Spacegodzilla were in the past. That is why I made him go all bloodthirsty killer on them, ripping them to pieces. Also, does NERV HQ itself have defenses against foreign assault? It's been soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long since I've seen the series! Also, correct me if I'm wrong about the evas having no internal organs, flesh or bones; I had that in the story as well. Plus, I know unit 01 and 02 could synchronize but in my story, they never fight together, unit 01 is damaged heavily before unit 02 even reaches the field but could unit 00 and unit 02 synchronize and fight in concert? I mad that scene seem as if they were synched but Godzilla fouls the attempt by smashing unit 00 across Tokyo-3 with his massive tail. If you find any other major errors in the plot, feel free to tell me. I can see you have realized that Godzilla beating them the way he did is not a plot error, thank's for respecting that!

Tokyo-3 also has retractile blast-walls that function as shields, spare plugs for the Evas' cables, and pallet gun caches littered across the cityscape. The Eva do have flesh, blood, bones, and organs in addition to cybernetic components. According to the Eva Wiki, however, Tokyo-3 and NERV HQ run off solar power, but Godzilla has been known to pick fights with monsters he sees as invading his turf and he could have been awakened by Gaghiel or Matariel . As far as I know, after Second Impact alerted humans to the existence of the Angels, they united in the face of a common enemy - although that didn't stop individual governments from trying to curry more power. NERV HQ fell pretty quickly to the JSDF - which Godzilla, in all his incarnations, has soundly curbstomped (although they have been able to hurt him) - so that would be a resounding "No." to whether it has defences sufficient to repel Godzilla... except for this gel-type-thing they used to restrain rampaging Evas. Rei and Shinji were capable of syncing their moves in practice, but Asuka didn't get to work with Rei, nor do I find it likely that she would have wanted to, in part due to her ego and in part due to seeing Rei as a rival for Shinji's affections. I can't find anything that jumps out at me in terms of errors, but I'll look over it again and see what I can find. As for the ending... You were the one who wrote it, so even if I thought "WTF teh eva shud hav killd godzilla he suks" (Which I don't - least of all FW Godzilla) it's not my place to dispute your opinion. All that matters is that you're satisfied with the final result.

Ok great, I'll add the Tokyo-3 defensive lines to the story! Gives Godzilla more shit to destroy! So... I guess my story is pretty accurate; Yeah, I did my research well! I also want to lengthen the story some: add some more dialogue, maybe explain some points I left out better like how the Commanders died or that Asuka hates Rei because Shinji likes her, etc, etc, etc. I do thank you for appreciating and respecting my views and not butchering me like other people have done (cough, cough!) So all-in-all, thank's for the feedback and I'll make sure to send you a final copy once this one is edited; not sure how long that will take, maybe mouths but hopefully not that long! Godzilla for the win! Maybe I should also put more enfaces on the gory parts of the story such as the blood on Godzilla's hands and all over the battlefield after he rips Rei's spin out! (Well, technically unit 00 spin, but Rei can feel the pain too so...)

OK, as you know, the original version is just the epic fight were Godzilla beats the living shit out of the evas, kills there pilots and destroys everything incorporated in Evangelion basically. The version I was going to send you was a little more story like wearies I have Gendo and Kozo survive the attack and retreat to Osaka where they live the good life, then they remember the event and that's were they tell the story. I also added some more sadness to the story by having Shinji FINALLY get a date with Rei and then they both die in the fight, same shit as the old story but at the end, Gendo raps up the story just in time for Godzilla to attack Osaka and I think you know what would happen from there! Now you may be wondering why I haven't sent you this version yet, well, it's because I decide to add onto that! I'm still adding crap. For example, Shinji still gets a date with Rei but before he can go has to fight Godzilla BUT, instead of them all dying, they just all get the crap beaten out of them and almost dying. Asuka and Rei nearly die (PS: If Godzilla crushed the windpipe of the eva, would Asuka stop breathing or would she just feel terrible pain?) and are put in rehabilitation for a mouth or so. Then, I think I'm going to have Shinji and Rei finally go on that date and have a great time, maybe even have some 'fun' at Rei's place! I don't know, these are all idea. I also had an idea to maybe have them get married or something, maybe have me enter the story as a shroudy old dude like the one from GMK warning them that Godzilla will return. Then there is going to be a final battle were maybe the evas have the Lance of Longinus and/or they enter God Mode and then the shit really hits the fan! (PS: is the Lance of Longinus breakable?) Anyway, these are all my ideas (As you can see I have a bunch!) and I'm working on that. If you have any other cool ideas and/or recommendations, please reply, I would love the feedback!

The pilots feel whatever injuries happen to their Evas, so she would feel terrible pain if the Eva was wounded, and going by Shinji's fight with Unit-03 would also feel as though she herself was being strangled, although an experienced pilot like Asuka can overcome the sensations and keep fighting. As for the LOL... it's more-or-less unbreakable. According to the Eva wiki the LOL used in the show was Adam's, as Lilith's disappeared (whether it was just lost or destroyed is unknown) after First Impact.
Does Shinji learn that he and Rei are technically half-siblings after the "fun" (mental breakdown FTW ^_^)? The reappearance of some of Godzilla's uber-foes like King Ghidorah, Destroyah, or SpaceGodzilla would be interesting for a sequel. I look forward to reading the finished product!

OK, great! What actually happens is that Godzilla crushes the eva's neck to the point were the head is literally torn off and then Shinji, who's eva has no arms, has to get Asuka to an access point and out of the entry plug before she suffocates! I asked about the lance because I'm planning to have a scene were Shinji stabs Godzilla with it breaks in the creature's body. I'm not sure if that's possible but it's an awesome idea, at least I think so! I don't think he'll find out, or maybe he will, I don't know. I'm leaning towards him not to make the story more depressing when they both die at the hand of Godzilla but there is always room for change. I might add Gigan in somewhere, I was thinking he could split unit 01 in half with his scythes, or chainsaws, whichever Gigan I choose to use or maybe have Anguirus, Godzilla's friend, come to join in on the fun and get's his ass-kicked by the evas. Then I was thinking of having Anguirus play dead so the evas would leave him alone or something and Godzilla sees the evas next to the motionless body of Anguirus and goes into hyper drive like he did when he found his son dead in Godzilla VS Destroyah! Maybe some other kick-ass Godzilla monsters are necessary as well. Anyway, I have a ton of ideas and I'm not entirely sure which ones to use but either way, this thing is taking FOREVER to write!

The entry plugs eject from the Evas spinal cords. As for Gigan, I don't think he could slice an AT Field. Anguirus wasn't FW Godzilla's friend (Toho was going to have a shot of Godzilla frying him, Rodan, and King Caesar with his Atomic Breath but cut it out due to risking negative reactions from fans), and wasn't Godzilla in Burning form due to radiation overdose? Good luck writing it!

I think Gigan, especially FW Gigan, could break the AT Field of at least an eva. The only reason that FW Godzilla and Anguirus weren't friends was because Anguirus was being controlled by the Xilliens. Why do you think him and the rest of Godzilla's old buds were the only monsters the survived Operation Final Wars?! You took it wrong, yes, Godzilla was already Burning before his son died but when Destroyah killed his son, he went into hyper drive, berserk mode, whatever you want to call it and beat the living out of Destroyah (He should have finished him off, not the military scum! Dem Bastards!) Anyways, I'm still hard at work on the story, have any brilliant ideas that I could use?! (No, that was not sarcastic, I'm actually asking you for help!) Toho was going to have Godzilla kill all the monsters, including Anguirus, Rodan and King Caesar, but cut it out due to risking negative reactions from fans - the same reason they replaced Anguirus with Kamoebas in Tokyo SOS. Also, Destroyah was going to separate into his flying form after getting iced, but Toho thought it would have taken away from Godzilla's death so they just had him crash. I see what you mean about Burning Godzilla (just watched Godzilla vs. Destroyah) going berserk, but I don't see how Gigan, even FW Gigan, would be able to break an AT Field if he couldn't scratch FW Godzilla.

Be that as it may, I still like the idea of Godzilla sparing his friends. It makes sense considering that they were all being controlled by the Xilliens. I really don't think that Godzilla killing Destroyah would have taken away from his death, I think it would all him to rest in peace knowing he had avenged his fallen son... though he kind of does by dying so... One of my friends thinks that maybe, since Destroyah was basically a mob of mutated precambrian crustaceans, he could return... that would be awesome but probably far fetched. As for Gigan breaking the AT Field, I was going to have Godzilla beat unit 01 so hard that he can't sustain the AT Field anymore and when Godzilla turns his back to finish of unit 00, Gigan comes in and splits unit 01 in two! Still working on the story just a little slower due to lack of time. Hey, do you happen to have a G-mail account?! If you do, since I'm writing the story on Google Docs, I could share it with you so you could make some constructive feedback on the actual document or even edit out some grammatical error or rephrase certain sentences that may not flow as well as they should! My friend is working on that some but he has never seen the anime and he's also somewhat flaky when it comes to editing so someone else would be nice!
