Description
I was thinking this morning, what could beat up an Evangelion? And then I thought of my favourite thing in the whole world - and came up with this
Though, as I quite like Asuka - I'm going to pretend it's Shinji in there (I used Unit-02 cos I asked a friend and he sugested it, as it 'doesn't look as cool as the others' )

Well, the S2 engine basically gives her indefinite regeneration and the lance can pierce ANYTHING, so as long as she didn't let his breath weapon hit her enough to vaporize the solar plexus and dummy plug she could probably win. If she somehow put unit 02 into beast mode she would be far to quick for most Godzilla incarnation to react. If Asuka intiated Pseudo Evolution form she would have powers equal to if not greater than Godzilla. In Pseudo Evolution 2nd phase she would have almost certain victory, but then Evangelion 02 would turn into the Radiant Giant and begin 3rd Impact. So... in order to defeat Godzilla, she would literally have to cross the Godzilla Threshold. [link]
Though, to my knowledge, Godzilla is sometimes good, and never posed the kind of threat that would justify destroying the world to stop it.

Victory certain, NEVER against GODZILLA! Exactly, but for Asuka, I think she would get annoyed at the fact that she couldn't injure Godzilla and then begin 3rd Impact or something and pass the Godzilla Threshold. Anyway, then she would kill herself and Godzilla would just regenerate and that would be that! Yes, it is true that Godzilla is not always evil and a force that would be worth the destruction of the world to defeat but most the time, Godzilla is a force of nature created by man with an intense hatred for his CREATORS, not the world. Godzilla is an Earth Defender, that does not mean he cares for the human race, only for his home planet... and his few friends such as Anguirus and Rodan! But either way, Godzilla would win in the end, there is just no question!

Well, if we're talking dead for good, that's different. I'm more thinking victory in terms of a single battle. Godzilla does have "sequel assurance power" so I suppose he will always return if a screenplay calls for him. The legend never dies, as they say.

You know he has lost multiple times and even died a few times in the franchise? I don't care about whether Asuka could beat him all that much, but you should know has does have his defeats. To talk like he doesn't actually hurts your point. The point of Godzilla isn't that he always wins, it is that he always gets back up again.

That's true, Godzilla NEVER backs down or even thinks of giving up BUT the only times he has ever died was when it was either a force that no organism we know of could survive (Godzilla: King of the Monsters-Oxygen Destroyer) or his own doings (Godzilla VS Destroyah-Meltdown) and the only times he was ever really hurt was by mecha/ cyborg units designed specifically for the point of defeating Godzilla (Mechagodzilla I, II and Kiryu, Gigan, Megalon, etc). Maybe saying that he always wins isn't true but against the evas, he sure would!

I know this is my second message in a row, but try to imagine what would happen if Godzilla were to show up during 3rd impact. Just a thought for Eva fans out there.

Yah, go Godzilla! Though, I personally think that this battle will be a lot shorter and less damaging to Tokyo than a lot of other battles Godzilla has fought, especially the FW battles he faced!

Let me put it this way. WHOAA what a massive destruction XD I'm loving it.
Woohoo that would be a tough fight but from what I remember Eva's armor (not to mention AT Field or whatever it was called) can withstand even explosion of nuclear bomb so I don't think that Godzilla could be a worthy opponent for Eva02. If you add Asuka's quick temper... Oh I'm feeling SO SORRY for poor ol' Godzilla.

To be honest, I think that Godzilla's size would be a great advantage. I mean, if he were to simply sit on an Eva it would push it into the ground. And of course, with Asuka's temper, she'd probably go insane because of her inability to inflict any damage on Godzilla

Don't forgot that Eva02 has those nail-launchers and progressive knife in it's binders (or whatever is that thing on it's arm called) so it would be like "OUCH!!" for Godzilla if Asuka would use one of her weapons XD But really they both would inflict outrageous amount of destruction in city they would fight in.

Indeed, though if facing the GMK Godzilla, Asuka could do whatever the hell she wanted and Godzilla would just be like "Ummm...yeah, are you trying to hurt me?" Hehe, though it would be amusing to see her losing it at him

Well I'm feeling sorry for poor Shinji, cause he would be the one to receive whole Asuka's frustration XD
and remember that "God" has his atomic regeneration, and even his atomic powers would don't incinerate the EVA, he can smash it in pieces(obviously with impossible blood showers, respecting Hideaki Anno's tradition) with his simple brute stenght, or send it on Pluto with a roundhouse tail-stryke(like could do Chuck Norris with his roundhouse kick).however, i'm amazed shinji can tolerate Asuka without killing her.

You're damn right about that, Godzilla would have no trouble breaking through that AT field and grinding that thing to pulp! And yes, that bitch of a pilot deserves to die, but not at the hands of the legendary Godzilla! I could see Shinji losing his mind and stabbing her 37 times in the chest! however, if you watched end of evangelion, i have to ask you a question: the EVA series later eat the 02 are killed by the 01(who first slashes them, but they resurrect and massacres him, so he goes berserker and devours them)?

I wouldn't be so sure about that XD. They are similar to angels cause they have that S2 Engine and if that little thingy is destroyed Evas are dead, after all they are copies of Angels :-]

Actually even if they're destroyed they come back since they are made from lilith. However if u watch ever scene when the eva series are fighting u never see a the engine/core. They never expose it to my knowledge.

Yes you are right but they Have S2 engine which provides them with power, they probably have it somewhere inside. From what I know if S2 engine is damaged/destroyed Angel automatically goes offline, or will try to self-destruct, and it's probably the same with Evas.

Yes this is true and u make a valid point. Since the evas were based on adam's design it only seems natural. However maybe there was something else that played a key factor in the activation of the evas. Hmmmm...man this is getting exciting

You mean reactivation after being beaten ?? Well Angels seems to be capable of regeneration I read that Eva Series didn't showed any signs of regeneration yet... maybe after suffering some internal damage they suffered some kind of shock and needed a bit of time to regenerate nervous system or something... When I think about it there is one more way to take down Eva. They were "piloted" by Kaworu Nagisa's Dummy Plug, right ?? So you only have to remove it and No Pilot No Problem

No I meant the souls each eva contained. Such as mrs. ikari in eva unit 1 and so on. It's true u could remove the dummy plug by forcein theory but poor asuka didn't consider that option and look what happened to her character.

Shinji could just turn Godzilla into LCL koolaid. Of course it'd be the single most anticlimactic ending to a Godzilla movie since Godzilla moved to Jersey to start an accounting firm.
