still looks painful to fire. Despite much of the recoil being distributed by the floating barrel design and springs incorporated into the rifle, which is hard to see, i would think there would still be recoil. Cool design though, if albeit looking awkward to fire due to how close the stock and trigger are. Unless its an extending one?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

orcbruto In reply to malovence [2012-01-23 15:58:12 +0000 UTC]

Yap, it extends. There are side rails for the stock to retreat... but still as the description says, its impossible to fire it standing or crouching, unless you have it fixed to a vehicle or hardpoint...

I like it, but I have to ask, why the circle around the handle?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

orcbruto In reply to Scarouselle [2012-01-23 15:59:57 +0000 UTC]

The shinning light shows the amount of ammo, it turns red when the bullets are being fired until the circle is completely red (empty magazine).

Also its a support for the handle and trigger, but its mainly to look cool, and to be like the other guns from the same series

nice thoe i think a bullpup design would be more user friendly and ezer to carry around and use on the move.

orcbruto In reply to Dragonjaj [2012-01-23 16:01:06 +0000 UTC]

Is it? I don't like bullpup, looks a bit weird to me. And for a gun designed to be fired prone, it would put the stock too up for the shooter shoulder

Dragonjaj In reply to orcbruto [2012-01-24 00:03:57 +0000 UTC]

theres a bullpup of the berret 50 call its about a foot shorter can be fired from prone ez caus thorganoic bracing fits ovr the sholder and the recoils fired in to dead air. But its all better for sniping from clsed space satch as a choper vhicle or kids dall hows cause its redouced size. witch also cuts cost and it alose it to be used in more not sniper friend with bige rifel tarines

Eh man some constructive chritism from my...Pals on NS.
_________________________________________________________________________

The Sniper:

Grip is oddly angled. Very oddly angled. Probably hard to wield.

Stock is far too small and flimsy to be a proper sniper rifle stock.

The bipod is badly placed, it should be on the barrel.

And the gas tube is going directly into the magwell.

My advice would be to look at some real world designs - having blocks as weapons is not cool.

Anyways, onto the ''Beginner'':

Grip is odd, once again.

The gun, even though a laser pistol (?), has gatling gun barrels and stuff. Tone it down a bit. And still, too blocky. Ergonomics would be real bad.

Again, base the weapons off real life guns. I dunno, add glowy tubes in place of upper receivers, that sort of thing.

Onto the Cowboy Killer:

Having those mags on the stock isn't very good of an idea, and yes, the stock is weird.

The way you fold the stock is also ludicrous. Keep it side folding or something like that.

Handguard isn't very good, it should be circular to make it comfortable.

The ''fire selector'' is just a dent on the gun with no purpose whatsoever.

No ejection port.

The double barrel thing isn't really that good of an idea either.

And I don't think .357 Magnum rounds are that long.

And the .357 Magnum pistols could feed .38 specials because they were revolvers, IIRC. I don't think this gun could chamber one (and even if it did, it probably couldn't do it properly).

And another problem (probably not the last) is just aesthetic. His textures aren't that good.

Advice to friend:

1- Make him get blender, IIRC it's free.

2- Base some 3D Models off real guns. (Just download pictures of AK variants, 3D-ify them instead of starting out with blocks).

3- ???

4- Profit

Some question answers to your troll pals

-The Sniper:

Grip is oddly angled. Very oddly angled. Probably hard to wield.

-Its not, it can turn 180ΒΊ in vertical to better fit the position and taste of the user.

Stock is far too small and flimsy to be a proper sniper rifle stock.

-Stock is folded. It can be pulled out. There are two rails by the guns side.

The bipod is badly placed, it should be on the barrel.

-The bipod can move in the rail to adjust for the better balance

And the gas tube is going directly into the magwell.

-Its not a gas tube, just a support for the floating barrel, and it's also used to balance the weapon when placed against a stone or a sandbag.

My advice would be to look at some real world designs - having blocks as weapons is not cool.

- Its a sci-fi gun, not a real world design.

------------------------------------------------------

Anyways, onto the ''Beginner'':

Grip is odd, once again.

-Its based in the Fallout 3 laser pistol that have the same grip

The gun, even though a laser pistol (?), has gatling gun barrels and stuff. Tone it down a bit. And still, too blocky. Ergonomics would be real bad.

-Yap, Cole, you made it gatling, you answer that

-Its blocky because its based in Fallout 3 laser pistol that is also blocky...

Again, base the weapons off real life guns. I dunno, add glowy tubes in place of upper receivers, that sort of thing.

- What a glowing tube will do to a laser gun? And there isn't any upper receiver because it fires lasers, its just a laser generator inside.

------------------------------------------------

Onto the Cowboy Killer:

Having those mags on the stock isn't very good of an idea, and yes, the stock is weird.

- Its a DIY gun made by scavengers in a post-apocalypse wasteland. They want to carry mags in the sides of the stock, like those shotguns that have slugs in the stocks.

The way you fold the stock is also ludicrous. Keep it side folding or something like that.

- It can't fold sideways because the gun is too "fat". Its two AKs strapped together.

Handguard isn't very good, it should be circular to make it comfortable.

- Again, its a gun made by some ragtag post apocalyptic junker, from garbage. They are not interested in comfort.

The ''fire selector'' is just a dent on the gun with no purpose whatsoever.

-They used a dent selector from a washing machine....

No ejection port.

-Yes, there are ejection ports, one each side. Maybe the picture is too small to see them right...

The double barrel thing isn't really that good of an idea either.

-Your idea, Cole...

And I don't think .357 Magnum rounds are that long.

-Nobody said its a .357 Magnum...

And the .357 Magnum pistols could feed .38 specials because they were revolvers, IIRC. I don't think this gun could chamber one (and even if it did, it probably couldn't do it properly).

- Maybe it can... you never know...

And another problem (probably not the last) is just aesthetic. His textures aren't that good.

- Make one better... I'm waiting...

Advice to friend:

1- Make him get blender, IIRC it's free.

-I'm using Sketchup, not Blender. I heard it before, but I preffer the clean layout of Sketchup, more space to see and work the models.

However, I want to state that those are not .50 BMG. They might be half an inch in diameter, but the Browning Machine Gun cannot fire them.

Yap, they came out too thin... I guess they are just special explosive ammo for this gun, but wouldn't fit into a Browning properly...

Thanks
