Description
With the recent success of my new methods of drawing characters, I decided to go back to one of my favorite ladies, and see how well I could not only apply my new lineart techniques, but also see about increasing the effectiveness of my coloring, shading, texturing, and highlighting. I have high hopes that these new skills are a success, because if they are, then this latest experiment will be but the first step in what I hope will be a series of masterpieces, so to speak.But before I can go onto that, I'd like to have some feedback from you, my watchers. Am I onto something good here, or am I barking up the wrong tree, as it were?
Please let me know what you think, because it is only with your feedback and constructive criticism that I can further improve my skills.

Simply lovely! Love the shades, the shadows, the texture and the lines. Cool one, dude! Can't wait to see this new method of yours in a series. I believe you're doing a hell of a job whit your art. Congratulations man!

Thanks. I did some tweaking with my texturing techniques, so I'm glad that turned out well. As for the shadows, that's one of the reasons I started using DAZ models as a reference; to have something to reference in order to portray body shadows with greater accuracy.
Don't worry. If things go according to plan, you'll be seeing this stuff in a series fairly soon.

It's good, but cheekbones are definitely necessary. The eyes also seem a bit...plastic.
I'm thinking if a little bit of shading and blending was done with the eyes, it would give her a more realistic feeling. Cheekbones would also help with the sculpting.
However, it could be hard to do, so take my words with a very big pinch of salt.

Well, I did some tweaking to the eyes, and I did a bit of shading to try and bring out the cheekbones. How did that work?

Thanks. I've always been a bit hesitant to mess with the eyes or do too much detailing. I don't want to ruin something by overdoing it, if you get my meaning.

And vanilla Misato is fine too. Good use of line weights without getting too heavy, and the shading adds plenty of detail, as well.

Thanks. The improvement of my linearts and shading has been one of my major goals with the perfection of these new techniques. It really means a lot to me to be enjoying such success.

Ehhhh....I dunno it's pretty good but something seems a touch off again....I think the nose has something to do with it. And once again it seems a little darker then nessicary but that could just be something with me monitor.

Huh, that's strange. I went to a lot of trouble get the nose down right. Then again, it could be the style I'm trying to employ here.
And I'm surprised about the darkness. I really tried to lighten up the colors with this attempt.

Yeah I'm not sure what it is either something just seems a bit off...That could be yeah just something with the style....If I can tie down just what it is that's bothering me I'll let ya know.

Could be...and sure I will no problem. Looking at it again I dunno.....it almost look like her nose got cut pretty bad at some point if that makes sense.

I have to admit that having access to an anatomically accurate model for these works is a real life-saver. It makes getting the poses, the anatomy, and the shading and highlighting down accurately so much simpler, and allows me a greater luxury to further the detailing.
