Draven sighed as he did what he was told and stood up in front of Scarlet. Although he looked down at her, they stood as equals.

"You always had the respect and honor of a true warrior, Scarlet," Draven said, but Scarlet suddenly grabbed by the jaw.

"Don't mistake this for mercy," Scarlet said. "I just want to look you in the eye as condemn you to Hell, knowing you can never. See your daughter again."

"You... you would be so cold," Draven said.

"You said you would take any punishment I felt necessary," Scarlet said. "Well, this is my punishment."

"I understand," Draven said. "I just felt, you of all people would understand the pain of loosing your child and being alone as a child." Scarlet grip tightened as Draven's feet left the ground.

"You do not get to play that card with me," Scarlet said. "I have dedicated my life to protecting my family. Walked through Hells that you could never dream of, risking life and my very soul for those I love," she said, fires of centuries of pain reflecting in her eyes. "Do not think for one damn moment that because you are acting like a good human being for once in your life and giving yourself up for your daughter comes even remotely close to what I have sacrificed to keep my family safe. I have pity for your daughter, but you do not get pity from me."

"I... guess you're right," Draven said. "I guess I never did understand what I had done to you, until I had a child of my own. Alright," Draven said with a sigh. "Do was you wish Scarlet."
