"Yes," Scarlet replied, laying her head down on her pillow, murmuring. "This fight is far from over."
Suddenly, the door burst open. Everyone turned to see Mr. Solan standing in the doorway.

"Where is she?" Mr. Solan demanded. His hair was out of its usual ponytail and hung around his face. Scarlet could practically see the sickening smoke swirling from his mouth.

"Who?" James replied. He'd heard about Mr. Solan, but this was his first time seeing him. He hadn't expected Raven's father to be as formal as the man before him. There was something about him... some kind of aura emanating from Mr. Solan, similar to Christian's but far darker and much older.

"Raven!" Mr. Solan shouted. "Where is my daughter?"
