"It's all right, ma'am," the strange man replied.

"Who the hell are you?" Scarlet, demanded.

"Oh, sorry. Where are my manners?" the man replied. "My name is Mr. Solan. I am Raven's father."

"What?" Scarlet sputtered.

"I've been away for awhile," Mr. Solan replied. "I came to visit and found her unconscious in the apartment. Who are you?" He looked down at Scarlet with red eyes. She turned away as she inhaled the faint red fumes that flowed from his mouth as he spoke. She covered her nose to avoid the fumes, his breath smelled like sulfer.

"I... I'm her friend," Scarlet coughed, turning back to him.

"Well, as her friend, you can rest assured that Raven will be well looked after," Mr. Solan said. Scarlet then noticed paramedics rushing past with Raven on a stretcher.

"Raven!" Scarlet exclaimed and she began to move over to the paramedics. She felt a hand land on her shoulder.
