"I don't want to talk about it in the open," Scarlet said with a sigh as she cast sidelong glances at nearby patients and nurces. "I-It's kind of a personal issue."

"Ok," Christian said as he lead Scarlet into an empty waiting room.

"I owe Raven my life," Scarlet said. "I wouldn't be standing here now if it weren't for her. It's been about a year now since then. A boy named Randy, who I had once taught a lesson to back when I first met James. He was out for revenge and tried to run me over with his truck. Raven came at the last second, pushed me out of the way and... stopped the truck."

"With her bare hands?" Christian asked, narrowing his eyes in confusion.

"No," Scarlet said, looking around just to make sure no one was around. "With magic."

Christian's eyes widened at the statement, then with a small nod added. "Continue."
