Scarlet closed her mouth turning away from Christian. Why did I tell him, Scarlet thought, I don't even know him, I didn't even tell James. More importantly I promised Raven that I wouldn't tell.

"Well," Christian said softly. "What happened after that?"

"Well, I thanked Raven for saving me of course," Scarlet replied. "She gave her life for me. She only has one life to live and she choose to risk it for me."
