"They were the first humans to accept me for who I am," Scarlet replied. "James... he reminds me of myself when I was growing up in my tribe. When I found him, he was always being targetted by bullies due to his physical weaknesses. When I helped him, he did the one thing a human never did before. He thanked me, he didn't run or cower from me. He has been by my side ever since, the first real friend I ever had. I'd don't think he'll ever understand how much he means to me."

"What about Raven?" Christian asked. "You've been really worried about her. Almost to the point where you're not able to take care of yourself properly. From what I've heard," he added hastily when Scarlet cast him a warning glare.
