"Hey, Jena, do you want to get something to eat?" James asked. "We missed breakfast, and I'm getting hungry."

"Huh," Jena said, still transfixed by Christian's spititual aura. "Oh yeah, sure."

"I'm sorry, Scarlet," James said as he and Jena moved down the hall. "but we're a little hungry. Jena and I are going to get a bite to eat. Do you want anything?"

"No," Scarlet replied.

"All right. See you later then." He and Jena walked down the hall, leaving Scarlet and Christian together.

After an awkward silence, Scarlet cleared her throat. "After you?"

"Please," Christian replied, offering Scarlet the lead. Scarlet shrugged and walked down the hallway. They walked up to room two-zero-five just as Mr. Solan stepped out, wearing black tinted sunglasses.
