I guess it's sort of both. xD I went on a search for colors that represented the season of autumn, and I randomly came across that palette, and fell in love with it.

Oh, so that's it. xD Anyway, it was really fun and a bit challenging to draw, cause ponies mainly have bright and cheerful colours. Great experince!
