My first drawing. This is the Manticore, a predatory pack hunting descendant of the Bald Uakari. It lives on the planet Gorgaias (formerly called Hell), a world that was seeded with animals typically considered ugly/disturbing/creepy etc.
Some other seed species include the Babirusa, Naked Molerat, Proboscis Monkey, Matamata Turtle, and Goblin Shark among others.
Manticore are about the size of a Jaguar. They are intelligent pack-hunting animals that use their flexible tails as forms of communication between members of a pack or other individuals of the species. Despite, their lion-like appearance, Manticores are more adapted to cursorial hunting, with limbs that have become stouter but less dexterous to allow this species to chase prey for longer distances on open grasslands that they inhabit.
My next drawing I plan to upload will be the Troll, an herbivorous knuckle-walking descendant of the Proboscis Monkey.
