Description
For Armageddon 2013 I decided I would finally get myself a Disney character. My favourite Fantasia clip is The Firebird, and I have always been drawn to the idea of light versus dark, birth versus destruction, and the cycle of life. So it only made sense for me to be the Spring Sprite.

It was a big construction job but had the element of lots of fun and creative license. As an amorphous creature with feminine qualities, it gave me a lot of freedom to design as I pleased.

I dyed this 1.2m curly wig-monstrosity (I am 1.5m tall btw) as well as all the fabric to hold a gradient from warm to cold green. Flowers, birds, and insects have been (strategically) stuck down everywhere. I was wearing golden contacts that glittered in the daylight.

We had the fortune of it being a breezy day so we got some magnificent photos of the wings swirling in the breeze.
I couldn't move very much but it was a great day.
