[Common Name] Belial
                                             [Meaning]
[Nicknames] Bell, Sparrow

[Gender] Male

[Age] 3 years 2 months (Last age update 2 years post Calamity)

[Auma] 27

[Origin] Outsider

[Current Apprentice] None

[Rank] Crafter

Power Class: Projection
Geokinesis: Shape Stone, Tremorsense, Change Earth, Wall of Stone, Pliable Stone.
Pyrokinesis: Control Fire, Fire Resistance, Create Fire, Scalding Blood.
           Telekinesis: Force Hand.

Physical
[Build] Belial seems to share some of the shortness of his mother, however, it appears to be to a lesser extent. He is of unremarkable build otherwise, though he's in fairly healthy condition and has no hindering conditions as of yet.

[Fur]
Belial's fur is longer than the average from his mother's side, likely gained from his father. It's usually dry and slightly coarse, but easily susceptible to stick up from poor grooming habits.

[Breed] Abyssinian, Siamese, Mix

[Disabilities/Scars]

-Tail Scars: Part of Belial's tail is completely fur-less and though he can sometimes groom his fur to cover most of it, he usually doesn't because after a few minutes it'll just stick up again.

-Bite Scar: On his back, Belial has a scar from where something bit him and ripped off a chunk of his pelt. He may have more, hidden scars underneath the areas of long fur.

Tactics/Skills
[Crafting] Belial specializes in earthy items as he has the most control over them, using things like clay or rock to shape into detailed items that a paw cannot make on its own. He has minor telekinesis to aid with his crafting, along with pyrokinesis to heat up something to make it a bit more malleable, but they aren't used nearly as much.

[Socialization] Belial likes talking about himself and tries to divert the subject to himself often. When he's not the focus, Belial usually just mutters under his breath or talks to himself instead. When it comes to more serious matters he's awkward and tends not to contribute at all except to express his worries about whatever it is.

[Battle] Belial is about as much of a ranged attacker as you can get, using his powers to manipulate things favorably for his allies or unfavorably for his enemies. He doesn't like to meddle with his own claws either, using the earth to make spikes. Because of his heavy reliance on his powers though, Belial is a weak fighter physically and can only do so much as hold something off until help arrives or he is incapacitated. Belial also runs out of power quicker than most because he's not very good at conserving it, and backlash isn't uncommon to him if he over does it.

Inventory
 -Winterfest Scarf!
- Pearl Necklace| Belial is always wearing a simple pearl necklace that seems like could have been a bracelet in the past, perhaps with edits made for it to fit his neck. It may or may not be made of real pearl. It's simple and has no special powers or value, though it seems to have come from a two-leg from the way it's made.

Personality
[Traits]

|Positive|
|Negative|
|Neutral|

Belial is quiet a self-centered and whiny. Whenever things don't go his way he tells everyone about it, even going as far as to interrupt conversations to complain and gives bad advice because he treats others' problems as if they are inferior to his own instead of meaningfully addressing them. Belial is also pessimistic. He thinks that everything in the world is out to get him and is easily offended when others call him out on things. Conversation is about him and his "troubles" more than 70% of the time and when it's not, he finds ways to keep the focus on him.

The Crafter is often seen as broody, but he has some redeeming qualities. Belial is quite resourceful and works well under stress. When he is forced to solve a problem or help someone, he tends to be efficient at it. When he's not complaining, Belial is also know to be generous and usually gives cats discounts on his items just because he can. He also is good-natured deep down; however, on the other hand he has trouble empathizing and sometimes is a bit dense when it comes to the emotions of others. This isn't to say he doesn't try to understand cats, he's just bad at it. He's also a bit biased. While he's not as extreme as Nicholas, Belial doesn't really like darklings. That's not to say that he wants them to die, he's just uncomfortable around them and insensitive.

[Orientation] Asexual / Demiromantic

History
(I'm leaving the history vague this time.)

As one of Jezebel's children, Belial was handed off to another cat to raise him while his mother recovered from her near-death experience. A gruff kittypet named Charlotte was the one to raise him, along with his other siblings. Though she never claimed to be their mother, the kits grew on her and over time she cared for them like her own children. Early in his life, Belial had become acquainted with the group of toms Jezebel knew as her family and they liked to tell him stories and coddle him.

But at the end of the day, Belial was upset at never meeting his mother. He didn't understand why she had to leave them and why his father, Sparrow, had even brought him into the world if he wasn't wanted. The tom grew up in bitterness while his siblings split apart from him. He was a pessimist and cynical about life and much of his short pre-calamity life was spent feuding with his unconventional family or complaining about his dissatisfaction with his position.

When the Calamity hit, it gave him an even bigger reason to whine. The ground caved in on itself from sinkholes, the town he was raised in destroyed by the massive force. Belial was not smart enough to flee like most of the other cats, including Charlotte and the rest of his siblings. He tried to hide and was buried by rubble. When he finally managed to break out, the ruins were free of any life except ashen. He attempted to search his former house for the cat who raised him or his human, but all he found was the little girl's bracelet.. Despite his sourness, Belial loved the family of humans and took the accessory with sadness.

He wandered the dilapidated city until he made a mistake, falling into barbed wire. It wrapped around his tail the most, digging into his skin while he hung helplessly, trying to reduce the damage to the rest of his body. For at least day he was stuck, malnourished frame crying out for help. His noise drew an ashen to him and it dragged him out eagerly, ripping out some of his flesh in the process with its bite. In perhaps a strike of luck, something tackled the ashen to the ground and Belial was able to run away.

By the time the Call happened, Belial had begun adjusting to the new world. He took a while to find Safe Haven, but when he did it didn't seem all that safe. He heard his mother was here and tried to find her, but he was too slow. She had been killed by the time he had found out where she was. Belial was angry. He was angry at Nicholas for taking away what family he had left. He stormed into Babylon without thought. He made it to the fight against the Guardian and later moved on to face Nicholas alongside Haven.

After Babylon, he bumped into Def and the two proceeded to have a sad-off. Belial came to like Def because Def was the only one who ever "listened" to him talk about how sad he is.

Wonderful NPC!  I love that Jez's children are in this now--and I also love that we've got some pessimistic and whiny character in now.  They'll be fun to use in some roleplays!
