For the Elimination Round of the Vansperian Duellum.

Name: Edwin Blackthorne
Job: Warrior/mercenary

Edwin stared at the giant mass of stone and earth beasts before him, and knew he couldn't fight them straight on.

That thought was quickly followed by the realization that he couldn't outrun them, either.

Sprinting up the stairs two and sometimes three at a time, the one chasing him seemed a beast indeed, finding the incline not at all affected its speed. It gave Edwin barely enough time to leap out of the way when it struck, stones flying around him, the blast breaking the stones beside him and flinging him into open air. Edwin twisted, his eyes taking in the other fighters around him, the golems, the earth...

His third realization was that he was headed straight towards another of the things, and it had seen him. It didn't look happy.

Gearing up, Edwin readied his spear. If he could just time it correctly, deflect the punch he saw it was readying, he could land on it and deal a blow to the core he saw glowing in its chest.....

Here's to hoping I can get past round 1! o 7 o)9
