Description
I took that photograph at midnight. It is not a Photoshop/Gimp etc. manipulation but a real photo.
Because everyone asks:
The light is from the city and the white rays are moving clouds. It's a long exposure (130 seconds).
It is a real photo.

Wow, that is awesome! Photoshop is for people who don't know how to use a camera (no offense to you Photoshop-whores. Manipulation is cool, too!)

You have to use the lowest ISO-Speed (Iso 100/200). If it's still a bit noisy, you can use a tool to remove the noise. I use "Neat image" (google it).
Hope this helps

When doing night-shots always use RAW because you can later decide the colortone with the whitebalance.
Btw: I only use RAW, it's worth it!
What camera do you have?

Hey, I have the same cam so it has to work.
Btw: You already have a good RAW editor, it came with your camera, the canon Digital Photo Professional (DPP). Use this one, it's free and really good.

Midnight? Wow, you must live pretty close to the equator
Or err, should it be close to the poles?

Did you use a long exposure to achieve this or is it purely the shape and direction of the clouds?
Beautiful colours.
