Description
I took that photograph at midnight. It is not a Photoshop/Gimp etc. manipulation but a real photo.
Because everyone asks:
The light is from the city and the white rays are moving clouds. It's a long exposure (130 seconds).
It is a real photo.

Wonderful photo. I really like your scenic shots.
The clouds direct my vision to the sunlight, which then contrasts with the black foreground - excellent.

Hi, it was quite windy. I wanted to photograph a tree, but it was too windy for that, so I was looking for another "thing".

So do I (but XTi). You have to buy a remote (cable), then you can exposure as long as you want.

*gasp* Really? w00t! haha, I'm glad that's already on my birthday list then Do you mean to say it has to be the cable kind of remote and not the radio kind? I imagine you have to use an external light meter to figure out the correct settings too, huh...or do you?

Osiris81 In reply to ElenionTolto [2007-07-01 22:35:50 +0000 UTC]
The cable version is cheaper and you can lock it and use the Bulb Mode.
For the light metering: You set ISO-1600 and make some shots between 1second and maybe 15 seconds. If you've found the right timing, you set the ISO-Speed back to 100 and multiply your time by 16. So if you had 10 seconds@Iso-1600, you have to exposure 160 seconds@Iso-100.

Hi
It is not the the sun (i know it looks like).
The light is from the city, the moon and the stars. There were clouds moving towards me, thatsway you see these 'rays'.
