Description
As (almost) always, here is a clearer design that goes with the "activated" version of the same glyph here .Scattered across the whole thing is written:
"Unravel space and become the door between dimensions
Connect Heaven and Earth through arcane bonds
Break the chains of time and bestow us a Traveler's Gate"
The larger runes, that don't appear in the activated version act as a sort of seal... wipe them off and the teleport activates.

I've recently come across these. I love them! What program did you use to make them, and how did you decide on the sigil icons in the circles?

I made the circles themselves in Inkscape (freeware vector graphics program), using also some rune/symbol fonts from the web, and then colored it and stuff in Gimp.
As for the decision part, it was not a really solid process... mostly involved some trial and error until it had the right feeling. ^^

Still, other than some technical knowledge to make it happen, I guess that the most important part is being able to imagine the finished result and work towards it? ^^'

This one took... about an hour I guess. Not exactly THAT much, imho.
Others could be quicker but this time I didn't work with completely standard geometrical shapes, so that took some extra time ^^
