Description
Today saw some important progress on Twilight-- I was able to get a significant portion of her forelocks done. But as is always important, I spent time with friends and family-- in today's case, I helped out at a friend's workshop and used a Dremel tool to grind seams off of Garden Gnomes that are going to be painted tomorrow. Sorry, no pictures of the Garden Gnomes... they're ugly buggers, but some guy in Sweden keeps buying the things........Related content

Those ones are clay-- Sculpey. I bake the clay at stages, then carve/sand/add more material as needed to refine the sculpt.

Oh yeah, I guess I should add another comment. I chopped Twilight's horn off because sculpting around it would be way too hard to do. As I started shaping her forelocks, I pressed the horn into the sculpey to create and indent where it could be replaced later. Currently, it's just placed there for the picture. And, on that note-- I'm supposed to be finishing my application for a very competitive promotion at work... so until tomorrow night, G'night!
