At some point in Calima's apprenticeship on an interstellar cruise-liner:

"Calima, why are you here, and what are you wearing, or more to the point, not wearing?"

"I was about to get in the shower when I felt the vibration, so this is the first thing I could grab. Now I am watching to see if the reactor surges again. The logs show a peak, but didn't register any alerts."

"That would be because I manually triggered the surge to see if any of the apprentices would notice and react to it, even when off duty."

"Oh."

"I will ask the others tomorrow if they noticed, so please don't mention this before then. I will not be running any more tests tonight, so you may return to your shower."

"Um. Okay. Thank you, Sir."
