LIKE this sculpture very much! - Must be the fluid upward shape that made me think "musical" and then "inquisitive" -"HELICAL" is definitely a good name - Judy

Helical and helix are related...
I'm drawn to the shape because of it's organic roots in Nature.

This is beautiful. I can't get enough of your recent postings. I agree with @Samarai, the compositional weight and balance of this piece is perfect... AND it's stainless!!

I spent some EXTRA time on the detailing.
Ultimately I'm of course glad of that but the client was a chore to deal with.
It's always important to make the piece for you yourself first rather than the client, and make sure the design satisfies your own sense of beauty.
I don't do so well when I'm micro managed and the OC client wants to control my every effort watching over my shoulder and make many changes during the process. I finally had to read him the riot act,but it all worked out after the screaming died down...LOL

Dude.. I REALLY like this one. Just the way it transcends from thin to thick, the fluidity of it, the soft lines so precisely cutting the air. Just a really nice piece, man. Indeed.

Somewhere around 20 inches overall.
I believe the base is 6 inches tall.

It is beautiful and draws the gaze ever up! It doesn't spin on the base, does it?

I love,love LOVE spiraly things!
I already thought it does not spin, since it is not centered on the base, but I wanted to know for sure...

Believe it or not I discussed that with the client, but he had very specific ideas about what he wanted.
