Figured she'd also find HIM fun to hang out with, and figures she'd also find such a ride thrilling as well

As with many sequels and remakes, I'm on the fence.
From what I hear, the original cast is returning for it, which is great...but it's being made in an era where when old stuff is brought back, it's ruined by overuse of CG effects and/or dramatics.

well that really depend on the CG budget, like with the thing the 20111 film did good job with cg and made the thing look great. Ifind tehbrigest proemben is that tyhe franchise are just too way out place and out of time

Winged-Stone In reply to Van-Dunkelschreiber [2016-10-26 17:08:01 +0000 UTC]
Not sure which film you're referring to.
In my opinion, however, it's not necessarily about them being out of place/time. The theme of some films doesn't need to keep up with reality due to being fantasy or sci-fi or whatever.
Take the Clash of the Titans remake. Some scenes were way too dramatic and the CG Kraken looked like something from Godzilla. Or Ghost Busters with the really cheesy looking CG ghosts.
Would it kill film makers to use practical effects?

The Thing 1984 vs The Things 2011. The 2011 prequel despite using CG did a greet job of portraying the monster that was on par if not better than the original practical effects of the original film

OK, seriously, who wouldn't want to go on a monstrous roller coaster in a monstrous realm with a freelance bio-exorcist who also happens to be Batman?
And where else can I say a sentence like that?
