Description
Optimus PrimeLove this design; itβs the best ever. I had almost no interest in this movie until I saw the concept art for Prime. I heard a lot of fans hated the design, personally Iβve never really cared for any of the non-generation one designs, hated the Beast Wars crap even more. I never heard any rumblings about any other version of Prime sucking (but then I never paid any attention to any of it before I saw Prime for the movie), and I think most of them kinda sucked.
I know his pose is a bit odd (that wasn't intentional) but I chose not to correct it, feels like a freeze frame of him standing up... or a weird dance. Took me two weeks, and i'm actually very happy with the way this turned out, especially the legs, I managed to capture the style I was going for (I lack the patience for trying for photo realism).
Done with Photoshop and my Hanvon art tablet

It amazes me how you can do this, a complex mechanical design done in scribbles of digital paint.. it gives it such an amazing semi-solid feel.. like a hologram..
