Description
This was done in wood stain, coffee (liquid/solid), glitter & scent (in the form of blueberry body spray), vanilla extract, makeup, face paint, blue hair dye, charcoal, and black acrylic. This is a self-portrait/ profile view.Related content

well you can use charcoal as like a stick, or they come in regular pencils too just like graphite. Your choice.
I don't know of any black sprays or anything like that.. I'd be a little nervous doing that.. but then again, I'm not an expert or anything so I guess you could just look around or go to an art supplies store and ask.

I asked them(local art store) yesterday and they thought I should do it in charcoal. It turned out a little better and was much easier to do, but I didnt get it as black as I wanted. They didnt know about the spraying at all

I like how you softened the background when it came close to the face it really softens that area, your shading is impecable, and all the tools and colors you used...it must have been something you put alot of thought into, if that is you in your avatar (??) it's kind of harsd to believe this is you in the portrait...(?) I'm confused alittle...

thanks so much for all the awesome comments! yeah it is me in the avatar, with no makeup on, but I promise if you knew me in person you would recognize me in the self-portrait, that is exactly what I look like in both pictures! haha I swear. I guess I just look different in all my pictures. especially different from profile to straight on. I think I have the picture I used for that self-portrait somewhere..

oh yeah. I guess I forgot to mention, the hair I totally made up just for the fun of seeing myself with like realllly dark hair. my hair is dirty blonde in real life. the face in the self-portrait is the real thing though

I know it's been said previously, but wow, that is a mixed media you used. However you used them, you used them correctly. Your face is incredibly well observed. The proportions are all in sinc. I love wow you've managed to use no actual lines except for your hair.
Using the black background was a great choice, though your face has alot of shade and shadows, the black enviroment accentuates the highlights in your skin and helps define your features that tlittle bit more that the human eye needs to fool it into forgetting that this is a 2-D image.
