This was done in wood stain, coffee (liquid/solid), glitter & scent (in the form of blueberry body spray), vanilla extract, makeup, face paint, blue hair dye, charcoal, and black acrylic. This is a self-portrait/ profile view.Related content

A fantastic use of such odd media to make a solid picture. I am not usually a fan of photo-realism, but I feel I must complement you on your innovative approach to the materials used.

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you how awesome you are, this is great, the medium used makes it even more appreciateable!
I'd not expect such a medium to turn out so near photorealistic, it's truely wonderful.
It's just a but black on the ear, which is hardly critique, there's no way I can suggest anything else, you've done all her features wonderfully, brilliant work!

oh. my. you really used all those things to create this? that is an amazing feat all in it's own despite how beautiful the image came out~ wow. i'm really impressed. the only thing i could find (and yes i really had to nit-pick this hard) is the hair... around the ends of your hair try elongating the strands you already have, right now they seem too short and it gives the hair/bangs that child-ish zig-zag look rather than stringy stands of hair. ^-^ other than that~ this picture is awesome! and.. once again. i think it's really cool how you used all those things to create this.

aw, thanks again for the really great comment. I (again) see what you mean about the hair.. haha I guess my hair painting isn't so great (although my hair drawing seems to be a hit..erm.. well.. it's better than my painting anyways XD). So yeah. Well I'm really glad you like it, thanks a lot

Wow, what a creative use of alternative means of mediums. It's has such a great effect. I love her lips and the tones. It's so soft and subtle that it has a darkened yet sad atmosphere. Looks like Digital art. Well done.

I like the almost blank expression on the face. With the low eye lids she seems sad and the dark almost depression blue helps to give me this feeling. I could easily see that on the cover of a deep, emotional book.

I ask other to post real comments about my work and I return the favor. phrases like "so cool" "good job" "i like it" are empty and meaningless. they do nothing to help me in my art.
