Art/character c) meReferenced from [link] and [link]
--------------
Name: Tyler
Animal Species: Coyote
Preferred Form: Feral (Due to the injury where he lost his tail it hurts to be in his human form because of a compacted tail bone.)
Defining trait: Scruffy hair and fur, he doesn't pay much attention to hygiene but he never seems to smell bad
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Home: Feral Forest
Likes: [ Terra | Being Alone | Being in Control | Hunting]
Dislikes: [ Not Being Able to Fix Something | Crowds | Humans | Fallowing Commands]
Personality: [Quiet | Stubborn | Introverted | Fixer | Brave | Natural Leader]
- Quiet - Tyler doesn't talk unless he has something to say. The only person he will joke around with is Terra, which doesn't happen often now that he's stuck in a group of other Ferals and Humans.
- Stubborn - Once Tyler has made up his mind on something there's no one who can change it but Terra. When he's really set on an idea, sometimes even she can't change that.
- Introverted - Other people make Tyler nervous, he hates to be around them, especially one on one. In crowds it's not as bad because there isn't that connection you get on a personal level. He likes to think of other people besides him as Terra as nothing more than a sea of faces without names or personalities. This makes Being in a group hard for him.
- Fixer - When there is a problem, and Tyler knows about it, he feels the need to fix it. This is how he wound up getting himself stuck in the middle of this damn disaster zone. People are seeking him out for help and he just doesn't know what to do anymore. It can be hard to keep a level head.
- Brave - Tyler would do anything if he felt it was the right thing. Even sacrifice his own life to save someone else. He hates the idea of death, and seeing Page die made him even more dedicated to saving as many people as he can.
- Natural Leader - When Tyler is in front of a crowd he doesn't know why, or how, but the right words always seem to come. In times such as these, people need someone to fallow, and somehow Tyler's gotten himself sucked into that role.
Brief back story: [Leaving Canton | A New Face | Growing Older | Born to Lead | Earth Quake]
- Leaving Canton - Tyler was born in canton and lived there up to the age of 8. In this time he lived with his mother and father in the East Wing of Canton. He wound often help his father craft decorative weapons such as bows, arrows, swords, and spears that people could buy in their small shop in town square to hang in their homes. Some Ferals would even come in and buy them for hunting. However this was very rare, considering almost all Ferals only hunted in their animal form and had no need for a weapon.
They always interested Tyler though, but his father made him stay away because even though he was willing to do business with them he was quite racist and considered Ferals dirty and disease ridden. It wasn't until Tyler was 6 that he met a Feral face to face. It was a coyote with a light colored pelt. She had a soft friendly voice, and didn't mind all of Tyler's questions. She told him all kinds of things about being a Feral and he was so interested he asked her to show him how to change into his feral form. She was quite shocked to hear that he did not already have one, and sad to hear this was because Tyler's father refused to let him practice changing into his feral form.
She helped him learn to concentrate on the animal he wanted to become and eventually he would be able to change into it. He was so grateful to her for helping him that he chose a coyote as his feral form, and eventually he managed to change. Being a Coyote seemed so natural to him that he stayed in this form as often as he could. It wasn't long before his father caught him. It was shortly after he turned 6 years old and he had been playing in his room as a coyote when his father walked in to talk to him. When he saw that his son had turned into a filthy dog he was furious, disowning the boy he chased him out of the house and down the street.
Tyler didn't know what to do, eventually he decided to look for the coyote woman who cad helped him, but he hadn't seen her in some time. When he reached Feral forest he didn't even know where to start looking he spent day after day wandering in circles, eating berries and fruits he found, he was lucky they weren't poisonous because he had no idea how to survive on his own. After some time he went back into town and tried to learn how to survive. In town square he had seen a book, it was full of information on surviving, he took his time reading what the pages had to offer and smiled, he knew he could survive as a Feral now. Little did he know that one day the contents of those pages would vanish and be replaced with warnings of disasters and instructions on surviving in an apocalyptic situation.
- A New Face - Tyler had now lived in Feral Woods for some time, he had grown used to living alone and taking care of himself. He drew his confidence from the forest around him. It made him feel strong, and independent, better than the small boy had in a very long time. One day he was hunting when he noticed some kind of brown furry animal bobbing around behind a bush. His ears pricked up, but he soon realized it wasn't a prey animal, they had a strange shimmer about them that it was missing. He was about to turn and sneak away when it hobbled around the bush, he was surprised to see it was a little girl, maybe 3 years old. Her eyes were puffy and full of tears. She was hugging a deer plishie between her chubby arms. When she saw the coyote boy her eyes lit up, and she started to giggle. "Puppy!" she cried out joyfully dropping her plushie and reaching out her little fat fingers for Tyler. He wanted to leave but he knew he couldn't leave the crying girl alone in the forest. So he let the girl wobble up to her and give him a hug, petting his fur. "What's your name little girl?" he asked. She told him she didn't know and that she didn't know where she was. When he asked where she had came from she said she was with a man in a room, and that he said he had to go somewhere, then he made her go in a big scary machine with a bunch of wires and things and soon she was here, lost.
Tyler knew she must have been in the lab where their bodies were being stored in pods, as their minds stayed here in the game. He didn't bother explaining what was going on though, he just told her it was OK and that he'd help her find her mom. She agreed and he let her ride on his back as they went to Canton to find her, though they had no idea where to start, the police station had no parents with missing children and after searching Feral forest Tyler came to the conclusion that the girl's parents were gone. He didn't know what to do, so he let her stay with him, for now at least. He began calling her different nick names, and eventually gave her the permanent name of Terra.
- Growing Older - Terra and Tyler lived in the forest together for a long time, he taught her to change into her deer form not long after they decided to stay together. He had to admit that she was a cute kid, even if she was a pain to take care of, she didn't know anything about surviving and depended on Tyler to help her. As they grey Terra became stronger and more independent, though they always stuck together. They were like brother and sister until Tyler turned 17. He began to see Terra in a different way, he wasn't the little sister who needed him to protect her from the shadows at night, or show her which herbs were best to eat. He grew to hate going to Canton even more than he had before. He didn't only have to deal with Human's now, who he disliked ever sense he chose to live as a Feral, but Feral males irked him as well, he didn't want them to even look at her. He passed this off as being a big brother, but he knew he really wasn't, Terra wasn't his sister, she hadn't treated him like a brother in years, they were best friends, the real reason he was thinking this was was because he was Jealous. He didn't like the idea that some day she would probably be with someone other than him. He thought this because no matter how much he wanted to say something about it, he could never tell he how he felt. He was afraid of losing her.
- Born to Lead - When the game was set into survival mode Tyler quickly realized the survival manual would be what they needed to survive, he told Terra as soon as the idea came to him and willed her to hurry so they could get it before someone else. He soon regretted telling her before he got it himself because her kind, caring side that often got on Tyler's nerves of course lead her to want to save everyone. He of course couldn't say no and made an announcement to Canton about the book. When he went to get it he hadn't really planed on doing very much for the town itself. His main goal was to save Terra and himself. No mater how hard he tried though, Terra let every Feral and Human they ran into join their little group. Soon there were more people and animals than he could keep track of. He hated it, and for some reason they seemed to think of him as a leader of sorts. Well, not for some unknown reason, he knew why. It was because Terra had made him make that announcement, it had turned him into some kind of savior and now everyone wanted him to save them.
The thing is, he couldn't. The first disaster struck, and nearly destroyed Canton, homes and lives were lost. A girl died in his arms, the first death he had ever witnessed. He he had only heard or people dying of age, and very rarely illness. In the game no one died from wounds, or even got hurt very badly. This disaster was a shock to him, and many others for sure. He didn't want to be the one they depended on, and he wasn't sure how to help them now that they did.
- Earth Quake - When the earth quake stuck Tyler's primary goal was to keep Terra safe and get her out of the building and away from danger. This city was not built to withstand an earth quake, let alone after having it's structural integrity weakened by the flood. He was happy to get her outside, but as he exited a large beam fell and landed on his tail. It broke the bone and punched the flesh apart. With his tail hanging by a thread Terra changed into her human form and carried him out of the city along with some others. Without the help of Ria having the guts to cut off the remaining part of his tail, and Oliver popping up seemingly out of nowhere with medical supplies Tyler would probably have bleed to death. He couldn't be more grateful to them, but that doesn't mean he trusts them, at least not Oliver.

originally DU was going to be a comic, she was one of the main characters. Once it was turned into an RP there was a weird love triangle type thing between my chars so I killed her off

I'm just now starting to get commissioners and it's just because my aunt (who is famous on FA) advertised me. It's very very hard to get commissioners, it has caused me much stress and anxiety

For DU? We already have a lot of birds, so Cody's probably not your best bet. Night sounds kind of cool if you're ether looking for a stronger willed character or someone old and wise. Tally could be a spunky little girl (I also LOVE the name Tally btw, ever sense I read the uglies trilogy)

Night: A blind character can be quite hard to rp. No super powers like in warrior, it would be hard for him to get around especially in the city and forest because of the earth quake. Depending on his personality (he should probably be a stronger character, not someone who's all depressed about being blind though that might flare up SOMETIMES because depressed chars are no fun to rp) For this reason he should probably be a little older (30-40 maybe? 50 even) we need some older characters anyways.
Tally: If you choose tally be careful not to make her personality to high strung and annoying. Idk about you but when I rp a char that's annoying I end up annoying myself and giving up. (part of the reason I killed off paige)Being a fennec fox she'd be small, maybe someone who likes to slip into small places and explore, trick people maybe, make a play on the fox stereotype.
Those are just a few ideas I had~ take it or leave it, I just love brain storming characters, hope you dont mind

That wouldn't happen in DU as the name instabilities, it was a utopia. Disabilities were practically unheard or before survival mode struck. The only thing I would allow is she was born blind outside of the game, had sight in game, and once survival mode struck she lost her sight.
I only assumed night was a boy is cuz one of my cats was named midnight when we got him (we changed it though)

Owl-Flight In reply to foxxprince [2013-05-21 04:24:21 +0000 UTC]
survival mode goes on until they find a way out of the game (which wont be for a long time) What it is is a test to see if they could survive in the outside world. There will be limited food and resources so not everyone would live, they only want the most resourceful coming out alive
