Ha-ha, yes, it's hard to believe but I've finally found a use for those stupid W/C pencils I've had sitting around for ages: I use them to draw the outlines of my flowers. During the painting process, the outline dissolves/ disappears, which saves me the trouble of having to erase any pencil marks!

At least you've finally found the use for your WC pencils now. I used to worry about graphite marks on the WC paper, but they just disappear with watery brush scrubbing. Do you think your lines are too dark?

No, I don't think so. The thing is I don't pay too much attention of staying inside my pencil lines, and the lines get painted over. Some paints, the yellows especially, kind of enclose the pencil lines, like a protective cover. Very difficult to totally impossible to erase afterwards.
That's where the WC pencils come in

I don't know what type of special pencils you use that leave marks and it's good if you now prefer WC pencils. I just want to tell you about my experience. Like I said I used to worry about pencil marks until I was in a WC workshop. You must have forgotten, I remember telling you he was so picky about the exact drawing and the colors we used. He made us draw a grid, right on the WC paper we had to paint on. I was so nervous, but had to follow orders. And to my amazement, all pencil marks disappeared interacting with the watery paints. Even with the staining colors, a little brush scrubbing will take the pencil marks away. That's the same teacher who taught me how to transfer a quick drawing by placing sketch and WC paper on the glass window using sunlight as light source.

Looks like it's you who has the special pencils!
Mine are just very ordinary two-a-penny pencils and they do not disappear by themselves.
But - talking about disappearing: Here's the latest installment of the WC pencil saga: I'd used a pink and a green one for the outlines of another floral painting, but then I went bonkers doing "graffiti art".
This morning a was finally going to tackle that floral piece but.... Horror! My green WC pencil lines had faded to nearly nothing while the pink lines had totally disappeared!!
Now how do you like that?
Anyway, this only confirms my original not too fantastic opinion on WC pencils.

My pencils are just the standard 2HB.
